Finally heard this. It’s good fun but doesn’t feel like anything new.

I need to listen to this on headphones, because my biggest gripe with every album after The Finer Things is how the production absolutely strangles their guitars. Hard to get a grasp on if that has happened again when you’re driving and not paying full attention.

Definitely some catchy songs on this like Silver Cloud, Light Blue, Too Late To Say, and Hell Of It though.

 

soooo what the hell happened to this re-recording of elevated and/or the finer things that they teased like a year ago?

 

Sounds sick but it's probably a single mix of all the backing tracks they use when they play live?

 

i don’t think it sounds like that at all, sounds like a full on newly recorded, mixed and mastered song

 

Still super bummed they didn't do a full tour for The Finer Things anniversary :/ that album was the soundtrack to my freshman year of college

 

Yeah they botched the anniversary for the album that deserved it most

 

i think the production has aged really poorly on that album particularly, a new version bringing it up to par with the rest would be so cool

This is their best song in years.

 

Got tickets to their underplay show at House Of Independents! Gonna fly to Jersey to see them & As It Is' reunion tour the same weekend-- Great year to be a former Warped Tour kid.

 

this made me feel OLD, i wouldn't consider either of those bands warped tour bands lol but i stopped going to warped before these bands were bands so it makes sense

Time flies. I remember going to their Shot Boys of Summer Tour in 2015.

Fantastic front to back. I remember buying it at Best Buy for like $5.99 or something

i never heard this MCR cover before, does anyone know when it originally came out and on what?

 

That cover sounds rough

 

It was on Rock Sound Magazine's "Rock Sound Presents: The Black Parade" tribute album in 2016. I'd say this track probably aged the best on the whole album lol.
