Songs are solid if a little forgettable, I think at this point I’ll have to accept they’re just going to put out the same album every few years
Wow I wasn't expecting a new album from them so soon! I've enjoyed all of their albums so far, they don't really miss for me even if they're not reinventing the wheel or anything. New songs are pretty much the same feelings. It's not new for them but they do it well, I dig them.
last album was really solid. i don't get the sense that this will be much of an evolution but they have never seem interested in that. i actually feel like they could do a 'the maine' style record really well.
Silver Cloud is so faceless and bland, I don't understand how they're five albums in and writing songs like this?
was hesitant in saying it but yeah, agreed. i sort of wonder how any band doesn't get bored of writing pop punk in general
well like neck deep took an album away to write more alt/rock style songs, on their fourth album but on the one they dropped this year, holy shit was it good, they came back to writing catchy pop punk and its great imo
Had no idea Neck Deep dropped an album this year, lol. Their last album was actually by far their best IMO
yeah it came out in janurary or feburary i think, i like it a lot. saw them around then too, always a solid show live!
I thought their first 3 albums were great, but their sound is starting to get stale. KOTNA had enough well-written songs to justify their continued existence (Eventually, Half Empty, Act Like That, Fake It) but "Silver Cloud" is by far their least interesting single, and it feels like they have nothing new to say. Bummer, but hopefully the rest of the album is better. "Too Late To Say" is fun enough for me to keep my hopes up.
Living Proof was simply a tease, I fear. I really was hoping they'd continue to grow in that direction. Both of these songs are really boring to me.
after jamming these a bunch i like em, i think i like too late to say over silver cloud and am excited to hear more, i also think it's pretty cool and ambitious to put out 2 songs instead of 1 with the album announcement, most artists don't do that. long live state chumps!
I haven’t listened to this band since The Finer Things. That’s a great pop punk album. I’m trying Kings of the New Age now and it’s catchy.
