Not a reference, sorry. I used quotations to indicate this is what you'd tell people.

fair enough. we've got other SW decorations/items on our bookshelves, but not any wall art (whereas we had a couple different movies/shows with posters on our walls), so we figured this could be a fun way to fill some space next to the bookshelves (although there's an old Legends comic that Alan Moore wrote that my partner really likes that we're wanting to get framed).

Really dug the ceremonial tea scene. This show is pretty cerebral. Idk if the background story and rising action is grabbing me, but all this time with Maul and the art is incredible. I’m really excited to see a rebels, clone wars level scale show with all the advances in animation. I’ve heard rumblings of an animated movie and I’d be all in for that whether it’s theatrical or not. Still bummed we didn’t get the ventress story. I would lose it if they adapted the high republic run as an animated show.

Animated Star Wars continues to be consistently the best Star Wars (besides Andor).

Agreed, I put the entire high republic book series as a dark horse too. Really loved that journey and the swings they took with the deep dive on non sith villains, a look into the Jedi / the force, and very effective legacy character integration.

loved the last two maul eps. I loved the art style but the story really gripped me on these last two.

Fantastic Maul finale. Really impressed with the animation, storytelling, and arcs. I’ll keep the spoilers out. Been watching a bunch of Sam Witwer interviews, got force unleashed for switch on super sale for May the 4th. Very nostalgic. There’s something so fun and social about legends stories and I’ve been missing a good novel, this is scratching that itch.

I don’t really remember… do they announce things on this day normally? Or is more saver for Celebration and such?

Was hoping an alleged leak I saw would be true and get announced.

Didn’t Witwer say they’re done recording for season two already?

Maul finale was really solid. show was a great time overall, even if slightly predictable/took a bit to get going. think i'd like it even more with a rewatch.

'Star Wars' Day: Fans Streamed Franchise for 33 Billion Minutes 2025

They also revealed the top 10 most watched Star Wars content. Nice to see Andor at #1. A New Hope and Phantom Menace is no surprise at #2 and #3. People who have never seen Star Wars probably choose them as their first film. Not surprised that none of the sequel trilogy is in the top 10 either.

It's #3 though after the original film, so correct people are choosing the original trilogy as their first entry.

Oh wow didn't realize the Maul show was out already.

Do you need to have seen Clone Wars or anything else for it? My 6 year old is really into the movies and loves Darth Maul, but I haven't had a chance to introduce him to the Clone Wars show yet.

I think it stands on its own pretty well. Definitely connected to other things but nothing that you need to have seen to understand what’s going on.

My bad. Somehow I didn't catch that. And I agree. ANH should be the starting point for everybody (since it's also the best Star Wars film)

I never finished Clone Wars, and was worried about the same. I just watched the first episode last night and it's easy enough to follow along without prior knowledge.

Have you heard the rumors that Disney wants to decanonize ep. 7-9? Until recently I thought it was impossible, but I get the feeling they've fired up the social media machinery to send that message.

There are also those Disney+ reports, the changes at the parks, the merch revolving exclusively around ep. 1-6...

I read the upcoming movies/series are going to introduce "multiverse" type concepts to forget ep. 7-9.

  21. 9 is the only one i have any problem with. i love Rey and Rose. erasing the whole trilogy is overkill.

    Should erase the prequels too.

De-canonizing anything like a movie or show would be really stupid.

Yeah I don’t see any chance of the sequels being de-canonized. Best case is it’s just ignored unless absolutely needed.
