Nah, my takeaway has always been that the Jedi way was outdated and ill-advised and that's how they allowed the Sith to bloom under their noses.

So I’ve been watching the whole saga with my kids and yesterday one of them told me “hey Dad, I know why The Return of the Jedi is called that. It’s Anakin who comes back from being Darth Vader. He is the Jedi.”


It fucking blew my mind lol. I googled it and it turns out a lot of people think the same thing. I didn’t know it was a common theory.

 

Who would have thought George Lucas is right and Star Wars is for Children and not yappy adults arguing on the internet. Lmao.

Watching mythology with your kid is such a powerful and wholesome thing. I have been experiencing that playing through Zelda with my son.

 

Definitely. Even I ALMOST liked the sequels lol. It’s hard to keep the balance between sharing something with them and pushing it on them. I have to control myself sometimes haha.

Maul: Shadow Lord is currently sitting at 100% on RT (15 reviews). early reactions are saying it carries over the darker, more mature tone and storytelling format of Andor into the animated space, which is a great sign.

 

Very psyched for Shadow Lord. Recently started Rebels with my kid. Since he was super young all of our family essentially told him hes going to be a big Star Wars guy because I love it, so out of defiance he refused to get into it. We popped on the first episode this weekend and he is so deeply into it. Man it’s an incredible intro to Star Wars. Really loving it. He’s a little young for Darth Maul, but I cannot wait to watch the first two today.

They’ve been live since 3:00a EST. Solid start. Loving the updated animation style.

 

REALLY enjoyed the art style. The Matte painting backdrops were pretty incredible. Action crushed, new characters are intriguing. Very excited to see this season progress.

solid visuals for Maul. story hasn't grabbed me just yet, but i'm intrigued to see where it goes.

 

next two episodes are definitely feeling more intriguing. i'm also really glad that Disney started mixing their animated shows in Dolby Atmos beginning with Maul, because the way they mixed Maul's monologue to Devon in the silo was really cool
