So sick! This show is going to be wild. Of all the SW characters where you know the beginning and end of their story, this is the most compelling middle I would be happy to hear is Maul for sure.

I know I’ve said this before, but when they first brought him back in Clone Wars, I was only a casual watcher and thought it was the dumbest idea. I’m so glad to have been proven wrong over and over and over again.

 

Witwer as Maul is honestly some of the best casting I've ever heard/seen

 

Killer extended interview from way back. Lots of good bits about his vision for Star Wars and the way he works. Kind of cool to hear in the context of the recent news. Also lots of great stories about his time working directly with George Lucas and how he got hired.

also if you’ve never watched along to the clone wars behind the scenes features from all of the arcs or rebels recon highly recommend, they’re all available on YouTube. Planning on doing a clone wars / rebels rewatch leading into Ahsoka this year. I have a lot of optimism for this next era.

 

Maul show looks amazing, the animation has come such a long way on these shows. And yeah Clone Wars turned Maul from a cool-looking but relatively inconsequential character for me to one of my favorite SW characters

Saw the stranger things animated trailer and it reminded me how unbelievably good Star Wars animation has done in recasting voices and how much baked in trust I had that a new show will crush.

lots of talk about what’s coming next for the movies, it would be cool if there was an animated series set post episode 9 that enhanced and cleaned up the sequels like the clone wars. Or a Ben, Luke, Snoke series.

 

here for it. nothing super exciting and pretty low stakes, but it'll probably be a decent time.

 

I'm going to enjoy the heck out of this.

 

I hope it does well to encourage more lower budget movies without astronomical stakes. I do like the vibes and feel. I will only be bummed if it’s totally self contained and doesn't move the mando verse story forward. I still really want to see a proper conclusion. If it put wind back in the sails of the era and we get a couple more good seasons and a conclusion, I’d be psyched.

 

Would have been much more interesting to make that than Mando & Grogu

In fairness, and i'm not trying to defend them, but "they already did something really stupid once" isn't exactly an argument to do it again lol
