This is inching forward to coming true as the Rey movie has been put on hold. Levy and Mangold’s films moving forward.

sadly not surprised (although the scoop is sourced from DanielRPK, but it seems believable this time around). i'll show up for the other films, but i question the quality of post-ST stories helmed by Shawn Levy and Simon Kinberg

This reminded me I wanted to check out her new movie since it is on Max and it don’t think I’ve actually seen one of her movies since TROS. I’m like 10 minutes in and I’ll never get over how

winding down our time in this era. Dark Disciple has been fantastic so far (probably one of my favorite pieces of Star Wars media). planning on finishing it in the next couple of days. we also both read the Son of Dathomir comic and watched the scrapped Utapau arc story reels to fill in the gaps. we rewatched TPM and AOTC before starting S7, and planned on rewatching ROTS before the final TCW arc, but i'm glad we swapped that order instead. planning on watching that probably on Monday then powering through Tales of the Jedi before diving into The Bad Batch.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Maul/Ahsoka best fight in the franchise

Finished the last High Republic novel yesterday. Truly incredible feat. Highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t jumped in yet. They stuck the landing and the journey is wild.

about ⅓ of the way through The Rising Storm at the moment. going the completionist route and reading everything, so i'm excited for it all to come together! just gotta finish Dark Disciple before jumping back in

The end of The Rising Storm is what really hooks people. Would kill to read that book for the first time again.

Dark Disciple is killer. forever bummed we didn’t see it as an 8 episode arc.

Threads, why isn’t the video visible? Come on.

not visible when you click the link either, so it sounds like a Threads problem

i figured if Skeleton Crew had any crossover with Filoni's New Republic movie (which they said it would), it'd probably just be his character. curious to see what they do with him.

I know this is controversial, but I’m so glad that Trevarrow version never got made. Everything I heard about it shows such a misunderstanding of what it means to be a Jedi and balance, that it would have totally destroyed the themes that the saga is built on. That’s also not giving a pass to TRoS, but at least the thematic core stays intact despite the missed opportunities abound in the final product.

i read through the DOTF script once and it was pretty messy. some interesting concepts paired with some really odd ones, but not executed all that well (and obviously not possible to make in its intended form given Carrie's passing). wish some of those elements made it to the final film though

I dunno, I actually like the idea that balance always meant accepting both light and darkness, since they are both undeniable parts of the human experience. The Jedi and the Sith both have very clear things wrong with them and their teachings. A third path, one that champions acceptance, sounds nice and meaningful.
