The irony of this conversation is that I think the K2 intro in Andor was one of the lazier pieces of writing in the show (even if it has some good thematic and symbolic elements)

 

Because of my Qi'ra comment the other day I am now reading the War of the Bounty Hunters/Crimson Reign/Hidden Empire comic book trilogy on Hoopla.

lol why is this the general consensus online, it’s getting killer numbers and seems to be their darling show. From what I’ve read each week is getting significantly higher numbers and most of the recent shows have been the opposite trajectory. I have hope they’ll learn from the production and storytelling the entire team did for future shows and movies.

Been watching Tony Gilroy interviews and he said Kathleen Kennedy sent him the early drafts and he sent back his take with a strong point of view and they trusted him to run with it. I don’t want another carbon copy of this show, but I like the spirit of the audacity to go big with a clear story in mind.

 

Finished episode 10. All I have to say is good riddance

 

I was gonna say make Rogue Two about the events before Endor and the espionage that led to the discovery of the Second Death Star, but I think they cover that in the comics.

Just finished the last episode. Good ending to a good show. I don’t know if it’s my favorite Star Wars show, but it’s in the running for it.

Is Shadows Of The Empire still canon?

 

Nope.

In the canon version from the comics the Death Star II plans are stolen by undercover agents of Qi'ra/Crimson Dawn and are intercepted by the Bothans.

 

Does it still leave room for the events to have happened in some way?

Per Wiki, it sounds like some elements have been referenced in canon material, so...???

 

Possibly.

 

So besides Visions and that one toddler show that's it for Star Wars in 2025?

The Mando & Grogu movie, the Darth Maul series, and probably Ahsoka season 2 in 2026 should exciting though. Just that is a long wait for another big Star Wars project.

Shadows of the empire was peak Star Wars. Great book and game. Dash rendar. Good stuff.

 

Rogue One is obviously still amazing (and my personal favorite SW film), but this is the first time i'm noticing that Donnie Yen's haircut is slightly different between various scenes, leading me to think it's probably a good indicator of which scenes stayed from the original cut and which were reshot

 

well he is blind so maybe he just didn't know it looked different
