Caught Episode III on Saturday at 4 and the theater was packed. Lots of audible clapping and gasping. I couldn’t believe how busy it was. Did the Clone wars episodes before and after that run parallel to the movie and it was magical. I hope Attack of the Clones gets back into theaters. I have caught all of them over the last couple of years and this was by far my favorite. Considering going again before it ends its run.

Hear me out… it could only be Star Wars fans who are watching it and casual viewers aren’t tuning in. For as much praise as the show gets from critics, I don’t know a single person who watches it that wasn’t already a pretty hardcore Star Wars fan. I’m not sure low viewership is because fans are rejecting the one truly great show we’ve gotten.

Also, Andor is the only Star Wars show that doesn't at least partially appeal to kids in some way. I can't imagine it's the type of series that families with young ones are sitting down to watch together on a Friday night. I gotta think that's a *huge* Disney+ demographic.

the first 3 days of release were also weeknights. i havent watched any of it yet because i dont really have a ton of time to binge shows on weeknights and i was busy this weekend. people are gonna watch it when its convenient for them, thats why streaming is so appealing. i dont need a think piece from emkenobi spelling certain doom for 'good star wars' content because enough people didnt watch 3 hours of a show on a wednesday night.

Andor has been unreal. Nothing has reached the heights of the prison arc yet, but sitting down to watch tuesday nights post work has been a treat. More than another show like andor, more creators who have the freedom to cook like they’ve done with the show would be killer.
Super excited for the next batch of tales, going to rewatch my favorites tonight.

  18. I'm waiting to binge all of Andor and I'm sure a bunch of ppl are doing the same thing. Not everyone can or wants to watch week to week, that's not a good metric for how popular something is

got a new display and naturally used star wars as a test run. Did the final episodes of clone wars and twilight of the apprentice from rebels. the Ahsoka Maul episodes ares some of the best star wars storytelling anywhere. peak stuff.

Oh my god this ventress arc was amazing. Dark Disciple was one of the best disney era novels. Pretty awesome they threw the die hards a bone picking up right where it ends. I would still love to see that story made in animation as a movie or limited series.

The whole arc was probably the best “tales of.” If this isn’t a backdoor pilot, then i don’t know what is.

Sheesh, wasn’t expecting much from the Cad Bane batch. That was deep and impacting.

Rewatched the Dooku and Barris arcs and tales of series is just so good.

Parables & folklore but in a galaxy far, far away.

don’t know how i missed these when they first came out, but they’d make for a great way to mix up a May the 4th watch.
