One of my favorite reoccurring characters in the Star Wars canon novels is Rael Averross, the Jedi who fucks. He is in Dooku: Jedi Lost and Master & Apprentice.

won 5 out of 9 rounds with a pretty shit hand, haha. i was rushing to build my deck in the 50 minutes allotted, but we got some good stuff. i don't remember what my partner pulled, but i know that i pulled the Snoke and Palpatine's Return cards, which seem to be good under the right circumstances. lots of people played really well with the Rey leader paired with the Moisture Farmer card, and i got my ass handed to me twice with that combo (i played a Mando deck). we're gonna get some extra packs in a sec so i'll update if i get any other good pulls.

 

oh, and my partner got a Krayt Dragon, so we definitely got some good pulls

 

hell yeah, mine is tomorrow. can't wait!

 

The Bad Batch finale was perfect. A top tier star wars show.

 

I’m very happy that Rampart got his comeuppance. I was worried about a redemption storyline for him at first.

 

Jimmi Simpson as Hemlock in Bad Batch might be a top 5 Star Wars performance in either live action or animation for me. He killed that shit.

 

I can’t wait for whatever Star Wars animation does next. It’s just hit after hit.

Everyone is hoping the next animated series is Luke's New Jedi Order, personally I want it be High Republic Era inbetween the books and The Acolyte. I'd love to see the High Republic Era explored more in animation.

 

As someone who thought they should have done Luke post ROTJ in animated for years, I would be so down. But please, if that’s the show, pay someone to voice act. No AI Luke voice, please!

 

@theagentcoma first two of four boxes came in today, in addition to the starter decks. forgot everything we pulled, but we got some super good ones that more than covered the costs of the boxes. will report back with some of the good ones.

one odd note was that we opened each pack in parallel with one another's boxes, and each one had the exact same bases as one another. so essentially for every pack that was in one box, we have a duplicate of each base in the other box.

edit: per my partner, we got some really good stuff like another Krayt Dragon, a Hyperspace Foil Evacuate, a Hyperspace Darksaber, a few other Rancor cards (both versions), another Snoke, another Palpatine's Return, another Finalizer, and a couple other rarer cards.

 

oh hell yeah Hyperspace Darksaber is a good pull. Are there any miscut cards? Been seeing a lot of bad miscuts online today, especially on the showcases

 

we haven't pulled any Showcases just yet, but i think a couple prerelease cards had some printing dots near the bottom. one of the rarer cards i pulled also had a dot in the middle of the card near some dead space, but i forgot which card it was.

 

update: our other boxes came in. no printing issues whatsoever. ended up with a complete playset of a good number of cards (including a few extra Maul cards), but somehow managed to pull no Poe Dameron cards, which are essential to some of the decks we want to play. my partner did manage to pull a Showcase Mando card, and is looking to sell it since it's currently going for $400-$500 on TCGplayer at the moment (that and Mando isn't a leader we're all that interested in building a deck around).

 

hell yeah, showcases are worth so much. Selling that should get you some cash for Poe easy. What decks y'all looking to run?

 

lol, we also have about $1k in store credit from a store out of Texas that he sold some old MTG and Lorcana cards to. right now we've got a couple options in mind. i know he primarily wants to run either a Jabba red or yellow deck (i don't remember the base color, but i think it might lean more control mechanically). i'm toying with a Fennec Shand red aggro deck, but need some Poe cards to make it effective. we're also weighing a few different decks with set 2 Han Solo, Rey, and Sabine Wren as leaders.
