  1. Meh. The last .... three seasons? of things he's done have been mediocre at best. Don't have high hopes.

I guess I can’t recall your thoughts on Ahsoka. I dug it.

  4. I couldn’t finish it. It actively hated it. I may try again, but I had a hard time making it through two episodes.

Yikes. Bummer to hear that. It def scratched the lore part of Star Wars for me.

I would have been pretty excited if this happened a few years ago, but between Mando season three, Boba Fett, and Ahsoka, I’m a little less excited now.

That being said, I still think he has interesting story ideas. So if he’s shaping that but someone else is writing, then it could work out great.

I don't know if it's just that Andor raised the bar to crazy high levels, but I haven't really liked anything since. The last season of Mando was pretty bad too. And Boba Fett was ... ugh.

Rebels and Clone Wars are too good for me to completely write him off. But it’s clear his stories benefited from a proper writers room instead just him or Favreau.

I thought Ahsoka was up there with Mando S1/2 and Andor

  10. I think back half of ahsoka is pretty great but front half was a little rough

  11. I don't even think they're playing the same game. It's like NBA vs a pickup game of toddlers. The writing was so bad in those first two episodes.

Ahsoka had its moments, but I think Rebels did a lot of the heavy lifting for it with pre-established characters. Unfortunately, it didn’t really leave me wanting any more of this story.

Ahsoka and Andor scratch different itches for me. Love them both for different reasons

“Shouldn’t be allowed…” damn I get not liking something but the dude isn’t a sex offender or something!

the best part of Ahsoka was Baylan and I don’t see how that could continue

that Ahsoka take just stinks lol. Game of Thrones didn't invent that title sequence folks

I loved Ahsoka for the classic SW feel/lore and I loved Andor for how different of a take on the franchise it was. I find it hard to really compare them actually

Bottom line is, Andor is the best

Ahoska hit well for the fantasy side of Star Wars. Andor hit excellent for the realism side of Star Wars. Both going after very different aspects of the universe. That said, Rebels did a lot of heavy lifting for Ahsoka.

I would agree they are going for completely different things, but Andor is better written and directed. It's possible to go for the more fun, adventure, and lore-focused type of Star Wars story and have good dialogue, imaginative designs, engaging camera work, etc. I'm not saying Ahsoka failed at all of that. There are aspects of the show I did really enjoy. But when I compare the two, Andor seems like it was more well thought out and executed than Ahsoka on the whole.
