so is Ahsoka worth watching? Never seen Rebels/Clone Wars. Didn't care for Obi-Wan and didn't bother with TBoBF. Haven't even seen the latest Mandalorian season tbh. For reference, Andor is my favorite SW content since TLJ.

Ahsoka is solid. It's not on the same tier as Andor (but no one should expect that), but it's certainly better than BoBF and Obi-Wan.

Ahsoka is a functionally interesting show without having seen Rebels or Clone Wars but New Rock Stars has some helpful recaps of all 4 seasons of Rebels that may be worth watching first. Kinda firedrill the established backstory kind of thing.

It itches a different aspect of Star Wars for me than Andor. Both are great. Andor is probably the better made show. And Ahsoka isn’t over yet. I think it was Ken Napzok of Force Center that talked about how you can kind of break Star Wars down to lore or war stories. Andor is clearly more of a war story and Ahsoka leans more into lore with the WBW, Baylon and Hoti not being Sith or Jedi, stuff like that. Obviously there is overlap between lore and war stories or plots, but I kind of see Andor and Ahsoka as two side of the same galaxy.

I’m really liking Ahsoka but I think it’s because I’ve watched Clone Wars and Rebels. I don’t know how much I would like Ahsoka without that context

I haven’t watched Rebels and only half paid attention to most of clone wars. Really enjoying Ahsoka. It’s beautiful visually

I never thought Clone Wars would lead to all this. Kinda wild looking back. I hated Clone Wars for the longest time until my second watch through. Immediately loved Rebels because of the characters and direction. Ashoka is the cherry on top. I hope this actually has some world building/changing story, but I won’t hold my breath. I’ll enjoy it for what it is. Ray has done great with the limited screen time as well, RIP

I wonder what they’re going to do about Baylan going forward. Idk if it was true but I read he was supposed to be a significant character in the series. I imagine they’ll recast but I don’t think it’s ever going to feel right.

Nobody thought this would happen back then. It was all in a totally different place. If Disney hadn’t bought the franchise and cancelled Clone Wars and instead do Rebels, we never would have got here. It’s wild and I love it.

It is a slog. For such a long series I’d say about half the episodes are worth it or less. It does have some nice world building, but I didn’t love all the episodes about Rex and the clones. They’re cool every once and again, but any time the focus shifted off Ahsoka and Anakin or Obi it dipped in quality for me. Not all, cause there are a few good Rex and crew stories but not enough for the screen time given imo

The episodes with Fives and them starting to learn there was something going on with them were pretty good. The Bad Batch has done a good job on expanding on the Clones and their role in the war(s)
