I guess I just don’t keep up with SW as much as I used to because I had no idea what Tales of the Jedi or Skeleton Crew were.

Takes of the Jedi was announced awhile back and had a teaser but then nothing really was said about it from what I saw. Apparently spoilers and clips of each episode leaked awhile back now, I even posted a warning in here about it. But I never even accidentally saw those, it’s been silent since. It was weird so much leaked when we had no release date. I understand missing what little there has been.

As for Skeleton Crew, I think was only announced a few months back or so? It’s Watts from MCU Spidey heading the show, ugh. But beyond the announcement there hasn’t been anything else really to it. Even this just shows Jude. It’s set in the New Republic.

I love Jude, so I could be into it. I’m down for more shows set in between ROTJ and TFA too. I haven’t seen any of the MCU Spider-Man movies so I guess I’ll go in clean there.

I mean, Watts doesn’t really have a unique voice. He’s a competent director who seems to do Justice to the script, as far as we know. So there’s not much your missing when it comes to what Watts’ take might be like. I wish it was someone more unique that has a discernible vision. But it is what it is.

    there is one way out

Tales of the Jedi looks absolutely fire. The Dooku stuff looks awesome. And is that Yaddle getting some action?

Yea that pretty much sounds like the exact type of director Disney wants. I don’t see them giving anyone too much creative freedom going forward.

I thought it looked like that sequence but was too lazy to see if it matched.

The one Star Wars film/story we want more than anything, and it’s the one they take off the release schedule

I honestly felt no excitement about it. So I'm okay with it. Whatever the next movie ends up being, I'd rather them take their time with it.

The Acolyte remains the project I'm most interested in and every casting announcement only furthers that feeling.

I have no idea who any of the actors are so far. So I read the announcement and go, “okay, I’ll watch it” each time it happens.

I've only seen them in a few things each, but I've really enjoyed their work. Amandla Stenberg was great in The Hate U Give. Jodie Turner-Smith was great in After Yang (one of the best films of the year so far). And while I didn't love The Good Place (and yet somehow still watched two seasons lol) Manny Jacinto was hilarious in it.

@Randall Mentzos would beg to differ. He’d be wrong. But he’d beg nonetheless.

Rian Johnson will be doing an interview here today. Tons of great guests and for a good cause (Make-A-Wish). Gary Whitta will be on at 2pm. Seth Green, the cast of Andor, and lots of Star Wars authors.
