The mainline High Republic books are all great as are the young adult ones Into the Dark & Out of the Shadows. I’m still reading Midnight Horizon, but it’s been my least favorite thing from HR so far.

 

Has anyone here played the Skywalker Saga Lego game? I'm thinking about picking it up for Switch. I'll only have a few hours each week to play next month so I'll need to make sure it will be worth it.

What are the ST levels like?

 

I watched Revenge of the Sith last night. Man, I hope Hayden Christensen got better as an actor for Obi Wan...

 

The thing is, I think he acted exactly the way he was directed.

 

I've barely played it but my kids play it all the time. It seems like a fun game that pretty much just follows the story of the movies with some jokes and gags thrown in. It's broken up into the 3 trilogy segments, and EP IV and EP VII are the only ones unlocked at the beginning

 

Let's hope that's the case. Obi-Wan will definitely have better directors at the helm.

 

What do you guys think of the rumors that Moses Ingram is the secret main character, with an arc and shit

 

They don’t have to be THE main character to have a prominent solid arc. I suspect Vader is more background, so they being more the main villain makes sense.

i’m even more confused as to why the Grand Inquisitor looks so different in Obi-Wan now.

their design in Jedi Survivor is identical to how Pau’an were portrayed in Revenge of the Sith, vs the toned down design they have in Obi-Wan.

 

With Jedi Survivor being five years after Fallen Order, there could be a chance Cal shows up in Obi-Wan. Both are in the exact same timeline.

 

Not gonna post the tweet because it’s instant spoilers. Although since it was shown at celebration it’s technically officially “released”…. So I dunno. I’m just gonna spoil tag it.

a trailer of sorts was shown for Ahsoka and featured a shot of both Sabine and Hera from behind, leaving it unclear officially who is playing them. At least Hera. I think the Sabine actress leaked? I don’t think officially put out there? Also a brief shot of a hand stretched out toward a cup, implying attempting to use the force, potentially Jacen Syndulla. Also a shot of the Ghost.

Edit: I forgot, there’s a shot of the back of Sabine looking at her family drawing from the end of Rebels.

 

I’m so pumped for Ashoka.

 

This might be the most intriguing thing about Andor to me.

Prequels are tricky in genre stuff, with Star Wars in particular often stumbling, because there’s a temptation to explain things that don’t need explained. But, the upside is that characters can be recontextualized and fleshed out in ways that are genuinely additive, not in a shitty Wookiepedia way but in a compelling, characterizing way.

I love the idea that Mon Mothma, this character who’s hung out in the background of various Star Wars films in white over the decades, has this chance to be a real on screen character now.
