The one I can't believe is The Phantom Menace as the best prequel.

And better than The Force Awakens? Nonsense.

I can see an argument that puts the pod race, the maul fight, and the lighter comedic tone as being preferable over Revenge. I would disagree with the argument, but I could see where they’re coming from.

We can all agree that Rise is the worst though right

Rise is I think my least favorite movie of all time and it retroactively makes the ST worse than the PT

I can get behind the PT > ST opinions. TFA is good but only TLJ was an attempt at something fresh.

All 3 prequel films get credit from me for at least trying something new even if it falls flat throughout. None are as directionless as Rise, either.

I won’t accept Ewok Adventure slander. That hits me in the nostalgia feels so hard.

Could be nostalgia based but I def like the PT more than the ST.

I also probbbbably put Phantom Menace over Sith, but it is very close. Sith might be above it depending on the day.

I’m not a huge Star Wars fan, but I’m loving the current High Republic comics from Marvel right now. New characters, enemies, planets, etc. I’m just tired of the Skywalkers and the same characters.

The prequel trilogy has it's flaws but isn't the complete mess that the sequel trilogy ended up being. Not to mention ROTS is better than any ST movie

Force Awakens and The Last Jedi are much much better than ROTS. And I like ROTS.

I dunno about this. The last time Star Wars dared to question foundational aspects of itself was the Last Jedi and lots of people lost their god damn minds. I really really don’t need Star Wars discourse to be that bad again. It got to the point where I didn’t even want to talk Star Wars.

I'm actually looking forward to Andor, but I don't see it being all that groundbreaking. From the article it sounds like it'll be exploring the "grey" moral and disorganized areas of the early rebellion.

  20. I have barely any interest in Andor but I'll watch because I'm a sucker

Sweet. I haven’t read any of the SW novels, but I hear they’re really hit or miss.

  25. The mainline high republic books have been good. I can't speak to the young adult ones.

There are some really good novels though. Really anything by Claudia gray, the thrawn trilogies (ascendancy trilogy is the better one imo), Ashoka. There are some not so good ones such as crash of fate, the aftermath trilogy, resistance reborn.

I'm reading brotherhood right now and am enjoying it.
