  1. He won't even let me read a children's star wars book lol. Maybe we will get there. Kids go though so many phases of things.

This reminded me that my mom wouldn’t let me rent My Girl as a kid because the boy dies in it. I just wanted to see it because Macaulay Culkin was in it.

oh for sure. My daughter often has nightmares when there are scary or horror aspects in shows or movies. So we just try to curb that. She’s generally fine with people dying in shows.

  4. This is very first world problems but bummed that my star wars Legos I bought are delayed due to the volume of orders they got this week lol

So I got bored and decided to finally watch Resistance. It’s… not good so far. Kaz gives off strong Jar Jar vibes at times. Yikes. Going from Ezra to this dweeb is frustrating.

  6. The back half of season 1 is a lot better than the first half but it's still not that good. Season 2 I couldn't finish.

I’m determined to ploughing through it all at this point.

And I never liked the animation style. It just looks off to me. Especially anyone with a face. Masks seem to not be an issue to me.

It definitely has it's moments, but overall it feels pretty inessential. There were some elements that show the inner working and strategy of the First Order which I found pretty interesting.

A couple random thoughts as I wrap up season 1.

I don’t think they made any new BB-8 noises for the first half of the season. Each sound instantly made me think of the scene it was from in the movies. It was distracting. They seem to move away from this around half way through. I guess it also helps BB goes off with Poe for the last handful of episodes, too.

While it makes sense that the First Order would broadcast Hux’s speech, it is really absurd that they also have cameras shots of Starkiller and then multiple shots of the lasers hitting various planets. I know, I know. This is a story with space wizards and laser swords, but it just irked me.

For Resistance I remember liking every episode with Poe and the last arc of S2 but that's about all I remember about it

  13. My Legos came.

Got the small ATST, the Lars family kitchen, and the beskar keychain free since I spent enough and am a Lego vip member.

Excited about the landspeeder and trench run diarama.

That Trench Run set is so cool.

I need to pick up some cool Star Wars stuff for my work office. I have a ton of bookshelves that are just empty right now.

Goddamn it go away Jon Watts.

I came here to post the article. There’s actually a bunch of random little tidbits throughout the article.

beyond Watts, the only other thing that irked me was that Kennedy seems to think Alden as Solo was a mistake and that they can’t recast these characters. This implies they are committed to doing this weird CG replacements, probably with the weird robot voices. Ugh.

A little behind the scenes video of the photo shoot.

also, another bad thing from the article, they seem committed to making everything be apart of the same story. So any hopes of a show or movie being all new characters in a corner of the galaxy we haven’t explored is going to be practically pointless. Palpatine has to be behind it all and someone had to be connected to someone famous by blood.

    So Tim is probably stoked.

  20. I wasn't a big Alden fan but I'll take him over CGI Han every time.

I also don't understand why Disney/lucasfilm feel the need to treat this like marvel and make everything connect to each other. Marvel works for marvel but that doesn't mean it will work for star wars.

This is a good catch. I’m ready for some Clone Wars flashbacks.

There is a distinct piece that sticks out at the top of it. Seen here on the top left side. Vaders doesn’t have that. It has a bump there, but it’s not the same.

oh yeah, i guess that does look more like the "bunny ears" than the belt clip bump of Vader's
