I didn’t mean for that post to come across as anti Dave. Love the dude and everything he’s done in this universe. It’s a well earned title for sure.

This weeks episode was just okay. It didn’t feel like much happened.

Marvel is currently doing a big Star Wars cross over event called “War of the Bounty Hunters”. It’s set between V and VI and the premise is Boba Fett leaves Cloud City, but instead of heading straight to Jabba, someone steals Han from Boba. Essentially its Boba, Rebels, Vader, and various bounty hunters all going after him. Read issue 1 today (hits tomorrow) and I enjoyed it and love the part of canon its exploring. Will spoil tag the end of issue 1 for those who don’t care to read but would like to know what’s going on.

Boba spends much of the issue trying to avoid being killed himself since Jabba found out someone else had possession of Han (and then placed a bounty on Fett). You come to find out that Crimson Dawn (from Solo) has him and that this is a bit of a “comeback” for the syndicate (I assume them no longer being around ties into the downfall of Maul). The mysterious figure who took Han shares that they took him because essentially every major player in the galaxy had a vested interest in Han and they wanted an audience. In the final pages, the hooded figure is revealed to be Qi’Ra. Solid start and I’m definitely intrigued.

most likely Bail Organa, slight chance it’s Ahsoka.

Bail. Maybe Rex. Less likely, Ahsoka. All would be cool to see.

Ahsoka feels unlikely, but I hadn't considered Organa, which would be interesting.

I kinda want them to take a break from Ahsoka until the show. I want to miss her for that lol

Pretty sure Ahsoka is in hiding for a little over a year before jumping into the rebellion. At least I think that's the timeline from the book.

I haven’t rewatched, but I’ve heard others say this as well.
Yea her involvement here would retcon the novel, but pretty sure Clone Wars S7 has already done that. Not to mention the fact that episode 1 retconned the Kanan Marvel comic from a few years back (and I’m not mad about it, I thought it was well done and stuck to the spirit of the comic).

I wanna say I’ve heard from someone at Lucasfilm before films and shows supersede what happens in books and comics canon wise. I could see them adjusting small details like they already have though I’d be surprised to see Ahsoka anytime soon.

From what I understand films are given the highest canon, then shows, then books and comics. Basically, books and comics are canon until they aren't.

Episode six was another solid one. And it gives the Ahsoka's Walkabout arc in the final season of Clone Wars a little more weight. It's gonna be heartbreaking when Wrecker's chip finally takes over.

Yep, good episode. The bond between Omega and Wrecker is my favorite part of the show right now.

I did not put together that it was a rathrar. There are too many tentacle monsters in this universe to keep track of.

Haha that there are. Somehow it clicked to me and when they show the mouth I was like ok it is a rathtar.
Very much agree on the bond between them being awesome. My wife and I were discussing how great it was and it made the conflict later in the episode all the more harrowing.

Was it?! Cool! I will say it definitely had the episode IV vibe at first. I can’t remember seeing it’s mouth before so I assumed rathtar. Guess they don’t swim now.
