The last four episodes of Clone Wars were perfect. What an ending.

so the animation quality in these new episodes is a wild jump forward from the original series.

some of the droids & armor renderings are almost identical to the films.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I'd go as far as to say the last two scenes were some of the best I've ever seen in animation. They also reminded me a lot of Samurai Jack in the use of silence and visual contrast which is a very good thing

I mean, I personally care significantly less about “canon” than I do story, & that rule always seemed a little silly if taken literally.

At the same time, “a new junior novelization retcons a thing” is weirdly hilarious to me & pretty quintessential Star Wars. Sillier than the novelization reveals; less silly than the Fortnite thing.

It just bugs me twisting and changing things to justify decisions this shitty movie made.

I mean that's the entire point of the Clone Wars show for the prequels so

there have often been more than two Sith in canon.
Dooku had Assajj as a secret apprentice, then Savage, and then we find out Maul is still alive.
During Rebels, there were the Inquisitors under Vader.

Well, there should really always be 3...the apprentice is meant to kill the lord and have his own apprentice. So Dooku having Ventress never bugged me.

Inquisitors never bugged me either because, from my limited googling, while they’re former Jedi and force sensitive, they’re not really taught or trained in the ways of the sith. They’re just kinda taught how to hunt and kill Jedi. So it’s kinda like “they’re in the club but not really...”

I know this is all super nitpicky but I’ve been locked in my home for 2 months haha

The only thing canon in Star Wars is Episode 1: Racer for N64

Right. haha. There are usually only two because as soon as a third one pops up, someone in the equation gets killed off. But it's not like it's a code they have to abide by.

Watched Hunt for the Wilderpeople last night, and I'm more excited for Taika's movie now. He understands how to bring heart into whatever he's making.

That makes me excited because his later years in Legends were some of my favorite things from Boba Fett. Him working with other Mandolorians, finding he had a daughter, and coming to grips with the fact that he was a clone in the Legacy of the Force series made him feel like a complete character and not just cool armor. I think by bringing him here there’s some similar things that can be tackled like him wearing the armor but not actually being a Mando. That could be interesting for him to face and for The Mandalorian to wrestle with since he is really driven by the Creed and what it means to be a Mando. Now he has this guy who’s super famous all across the galaxy playing dress up in his culture.
