He even mentions how he talks a lot during interviews and then a lot of times people go back and hone-in on some of his thoughts that can be presented as the most click-baity. I know people need to get clicks on-line, and a writer needs to find a hook for the interview, article, whatever, but I wouldn't say he holds it in a negative light as much as he has conflicted feelings about it. I think that's refreshingly honest as opposed to a lot of the puff-piece type PR we get surrounding releases a lot of times.

So im really starting to think no title announcement until celebration. really didnt expect them to hold on to it for this long. it seems weird just cause i feel like celebration will be flooded with news stories so i figured theyd want to release it before to spread it out, but its almost a month away I think theyll just wait and itll make celebration all the more fun.

    itll be released tomorrow

Celebration weekend could be nuts with the amount of news we're potentially getting. Episode 9, Mandalorian, Clone Wars Season 7, Cassian Series, Benioff & Weiss, Galaxy's Edge, (potential) Obi-wan series announcement.

We'll for sure get a Episode XI trailer and I think at least a behind the scenes video of Mandalorian and Galaxy's edge. If even we just got those three, that's a lot and I'd be ecstatic.

I don't think there will be anything significant about the B&W, since GOT is premiering that weekend too. I don't actually think they will actually announce Obi-wan, let alone another tv series until they see how the Mandalorian does, but it could happen. Alan Tudyk is going to be there so maybe he'll talk a little about the Cassian series. A Clone Wars trailer or sneak peak would be awesome too.

It could be a hell of a weekend.

Agreed. Everything in your first two paragraphs are for sures at this point id say. I wouldnt be surprised if theres announcements about GOT or Obi-Wan.

If I could wish for ANYTHING at celebration is that Rian Johnson takes a break from editing Knives Out and comes to celebration and they announce his first movie will be starting production next year and comes out at the end of 2021. I'd cry tears of ecstasy

This rumor says that they officially have a registered production name for Rian's trilogy (though I have also seen some people say this is the GOT trilogy), so maybe that'll come too. I still think that's the one we're least likely to get news on, but who knows. I do wonder if they announce an updated release schedule outlining tentative release years for the upcoming films and series.

So not that anyone cares but just pondering about it now, I really wanted to go in to 9 blind. No trailer. No images. No designs. No nothing. but I just know I wont be able to resist when Im watching the stream of celebration to watch that first teaser. Plus itll be too much to try to avoid images for 7 months. Like I did with Last Jedi Ill probably just watch that one and not watch the longer trailers that will start coming out closer towards the movie.

They’ve done a pretty good job at keep the trailers very vague for all these movies.

This is what I try to do. I don't have the self-control to not watch the teaser. Usually I don't try too hard to avoid the very first trailer either, but as the movie gets close I find they give *way* too much away, so I try to avoid all the ones that come out in a flurry towards the end, and I definitely try hard to avoid any spoilers online.

I do usually avoid tv spots. It helps that I don't have cable though.

Celebration is going to be wild. Already nervous ha.

& yeah, the tv spots are the only thing I think are questionable (like showing Rey holding Kylo’s saber from TLJ). But at the same time, seeing them didn’t really take away from my experience.

    I do not exist.

I pulled it off with The Last Jedi and only watched the first trailer with The Force Awakens. It was tough, particularly when going to the cinema and watching other films and suddenly a trailer coming on, ha!

Yeah I’ve definitely developed the routine of waiting just outside the theater so I can go in after trailers are done. The big problem for me during TLJ was avoiding YouTube thumbnails and titles. I had seen the Rey screaming and Finn and Phasma clash shots and knew about the Kylo killing Leia tease and the “raw strength” line. Then saw that shot of Rey holding Kylos saber. None of those were a big deal or anything but it’s just hard to avoid everything.

They do a great job not showing too much in their teasers as someone said. Also at this point I feel like I need a little Star Wars snack to tie me over since we haven’t gotten anything since Solo.

This isn’t your only collaboration this year. You also both appear in “Star Wars: Episode IX.” What can you tell me? Did you have scenes together?

DRIVER Don’t know. Don’t know if we did.

    RUSSELL Nothing nothing nothing.

DRIVER I can’t say if we had any scenes together.

    No climactic lightsaber battle then?

    DRIVER Someone had a lightsaber.

RUSSELL It was pretty cool, that’s all I have to say.

Not much but lovely interview regardless ha Adam Driver and Keri Russell Share a Stage and Then, Maybe, Lightsabers

I can’t wait to see that show. Almost got tickets for the second performance but I can’t swing the cost right now. I’ll definitely go once it opens officially.

Benicio del Toro doesn't seem to be involved at all for this movie. Further proving my personal thoughts that his character was useless and dumb, just thrown in as a speedbump. A great actor underutilized for a silly role. He essentially made the move that changed the course of the third act of TLJ, nearly gets the entire rebellion wiped out, and we're just gonna not even touch base on any of that.

Not crazy about it but i'll be there regardless.

Only tangentially related but one punch-up I always thought should've been done to the TLJ script was that DJ should've always been the guy they were looking for. The pin being on Justin Theroux should've been a misdirect, like DJ lost it to him in a card game, tried cheating to get it back, and that's why he was thrown in the prison cell. That way it wouldn't have been strangely coincidental that a second master codebreaker just happened to be there.
