I'm a noted Rogue One skeptic so, for me, Edwards' version must have been pretty bad for what we got to be the "fixed" version according to Gilroy lol

Edwards was my dream director for that movie. I am in love with his visual style. I find it to be by turns thrilling and hypnotic. The way he works with scale within the frame. I would kill to get to see his version for me, even if they ultimately probably made the right call.

Kathryn Bigelow would have been f---ing incredible though too.

It's probably my least favorite of the Disney era. I loved it when I first saw it, but the more I thought about it the less it held up. The third act is still great in my opinion, but the first act is all over the place and there's so much I'd do differently there.

Oh yea, his sense of scale is incredible. All the shots of the death star, the star destroyer above Jedha, and the AT-ACT's vs the rebels on the beach blow me away.

Just curious would everyone just absolutely hate my little fanfiction of bringing back the life manipulation thread, having Kylo revive Han, and bringing back Harrison for the cheesiest happy ending of all time?

I wish we could put polls in threads lol

I truly hope there isn’t a turnaround story for Kylo.

I think at this point Im okay with any direction they take as long as its handled effectively. Ill be a little sour if Kylo is turned easily like Vader did where he turns and quickly dies, but Im not going to be mad if they turn him. Id prefer not but its fantasy. Its a trope that exists for a reason.

I hope that if he does though they at least go into why he wants to be so bad in the first place whether it be feeling abandoned by his parents or because of the strictness of the Jedi Order.

It isn't where I would personally take his story if I were writing it, but I am also on the record as saying The Last Jedi is not at all the movie I would have written to follow up The Force Awakens and I think The Last Jedi is a damn masterpiece.

Long winded way of saying I agree with Dodger in that I am okay with whichever direction they take his story as long as it is handled effectively.

I think Kylo is too far gone at this point. But who knows.

I do not want him redeemed in any way. But I have a feeling I will not get what I want.

But that’s okay. The Last Jedi was not what I wanted and I loved it.

Well, the only time I've agreed with Mark in all this is on that C3PO bit. The wink was great.

Unhappiness and having a different idea in your head about how youd have them play out are two very different things and i wish people who publish these articles would stop trying to purposefully fan fans flames for the sake of clicks.

  20. At least mark didn't mail it in during TLJ. He might not have liked the direction but he gave it his all.

I agree with what he said about the C3PO scene and the original trio not meeting again.

It would have been great to see all three of them together again but at the same time, I loved his "where's Han?" line in TLJ. It was pretty heartbreaking.

I'm not gona pretend I'm a huge star wars fan or really grasp the reality of what he did, but I do think it was a waste to kill him off knowing theres a final movie still to come and I'm not a fan at all of how he died.

Yet again, someone taking what the villain says and thinking that’s the theme of the film lol Mark. He knows and literally states so that these films are about the younger generation and yet he still complains and comes across as so ungrateful. I’m glad Luke is dead so that we have more time with the newer characters tbh.
I’m loving Harrison’s approach to this franchise more and more ha. He never felt the need to be the focus of the new trilogy and was incredibly supportive of the younger actors (including Alden with Solo).
