He made a crass comment on insta about laying pipe to Rey now that Kylo is dead or something like that and it stirred up Reylos. They lost their minds and now he’s posting this weird video from stuff that happened like almost 2 weeks. I’m sorry, but it’s all just super cringey to me.

The term “Reylos” makes me physically ill.

I did not take it that way. I took it as him saying he was in love with her, due to his embarrassment at others bringing it up later.

It was already confirmed by the director that’s what Finn wanted to tell her. Does it make sense? Not really

Oh, that’s strange. Doesn’t really feel like the culmination of the last two films.

Just saw it last night so catching up on some of the postmortem stuff now. What a disappointing film... felt more indebted to market forces and fan culture than actually telling a story.

Huh? JJ confirmed that he wanted to tell her he's force sensitive, not that he loved her.

I don't care what garbage they say now after the fact, the way that scene is shot and presented and everything - he was gonna tell her he loves her. The Force sensitivity think makes absolutely zero sense in that scenario.

I’ve said it before, but within the context of TROS alone the force thing makes sense. But within the context of the trilogy telling her he loves her makes total sense.

Finally got around to watching this, and this was my least favorite of the new trilogy. Wasn't a bad movie, but enjoyed TFA and TLJ more.

definitely Understand why disney dumped that. Combined with the book of Henry debacle there would’ve been no way

There's a few things I dig from that alleged script, but it somehow seems even more fan-servicey than what we actually got. However, I do appreciate that he just let Rey be Rey.

So I just finished playing the campaign for Star Wars Battlefront 2 yesterday. It's not great, but two things did stand out: 1) there is a droid sidekick named Dio who helps you throughout the story, and 2) one of the final missions has you running across the hull of a star destroyer taking out stormtroopers. For a game that came out in 2017, presumably before JJ's script was finalized, did no one pick up on these coincidences?

that script sounds dumb af. they steal a star destroyer? Chewie flies an X-wing?

also Coruscant was destroyed by Starkiller Base in TFA so not sure why it's even in the script lol

It wasn't Coruscant that was destroyed in TFA, it was a different planet that was the new seat of the New Republic.

that makes more sense. I always thought JJ blew up all the prequel planets in TFA to cleanse us of the memory of those movies

Yeah, that new script wasn't doing it for me either. It seems like Disney was determined to overcomplicate this third movie as much as humanly possible, no matter who wrote it lol

It’s probably not real, but honestly I like it better simply for not having Palpatine return and keeping Rey as just Rey.
