Yeah they pretty much nailed all my criticisms with it. Binge Mode is great.

  7. I appreciate they don't spend 2 hours shitting on things they don't like. It's super easy to take the prequels for example and just hammer them and talk about why they are bad. I like how they come at the films critically but also talk about things they enjoy about the films. And they are huge fans and in this episode you could just hear and feel their disappointment.

been watching the Clone Wars show for the first time and like, damn, this shit is so good. adds so much colour to the universe

also reminded me that Genndy's 2D Clone Wars is probably my favourite bit of Star Wars media ever

I really want to watch the Clone Wars show but...am I weird for saying the animation really turns me off? I wasn't a big fan of the animation a lot of cartoon shows like that were using during that 2000s faze where it was popular in a lot of those FoxFamily saturday morning cartoons lol

the faces and bodies look pretty clunky, agreed, but some of the backgrounds and hand-drawn stuff are absolutely beautiful fwiw

I just watched the whole series for the first time within the last month (on Rebels now). I don't know how I never gave it a chance before because it definitely made me love the whole prequel era so much more. Just the plot lines that deal with the Jedi's morality of being involved in the war and the ones that deal with Anakin's rightful distrust of them are worth it.

That's definitely a common complaint, and I even felt that way for the first few episodes. I don't know if it improves by all that much or if you just learn to like it, but I didn't find myself noticing it after I watched a handful of episodes.

I had a friend tell me that the first season was a bit tough to get through but the rest of the series is amazing. Think the first season is skippable? Or should I def dive in starting at season 1?

Honestly it's not even that I'm like an animation snob or anything like that, I really just never liked that lookof animation, every time i turned on cartoons when I was a tween/teenager and I saw that style of animation I would turn it off. I don't know if I was just being a snob back then because i was used to the more simple 2D animation or what lol

love how it humanises individual clones too, not an easy storytelling task lol

I've been told to watch it in chronological order, which mixes up Season 1 with 2 and 3 a bit. apparently it's a much better watch

It's more that certain arcs are skippable, I think. The show sort of groups the episodes together (two episodes on one planet, then three episodes on another planet, etc.) Honestly, the few arcs I didn't enjoy I just tuned out and watched in the background.

It definitely gets better as it goes along, but I liked nearly all of it. I would use the chronological order to watch them though (Star Wars: The Clone Wars Chronological Episode Order | StarWars.com) It's not THAT much different, but it definitely helps keep everything in order and easier to follow.

same for me. I've tried a few times to get into Clone Wars and the animation turns me off.

Watch Clone Wars and especially watch Rebels. I'm rewatching Rebels and it's still one of the greatest things Star Wars has ever made. Ahsoka is the best Star Wars character and everyone should want to know more about her.

What’s the explanation for the episodes airing out of order? They didn’t create like 60 episodes before airing did they?

Like I said above, the episodes are grouped together in pairs or triplets to tell a single story and then they move on to another. So I think the overall story was kind of meant to be told in chunks, and they didn't necessarily care about it being totally in chronological order. Also, I think they probably made the decision later on to revisit small stories or make prequel episodes for things that had already been shown. Just a combination of a lot of things, but it's honestly not a huge deal to watch it in the sequential order.

I would say the most important thing is to watch the "movie" (which is really just a few episodes stitched together) towards the beginning of your watch. It introduces Ashoka so if you only watch the show then a main character will just appear with no explanation lol.

Every single thing that I have read said by the filmmakers of this movie has made me like this movie less.

And they have said a lot of shit.
