Yeah it’d prob have to be some freaky force thing where Rey uses her combined powers with Kylo to like, expel the dark side out of Palpatine or something and, as stupid as that kind of sounds, the alternative is her talking him out of the darkside despite his 100 years or so of dedication to it lol

I haven’t really taken a dive into Dooku and I remember when Episode 2 came out I had no idea who he was or where he came from like oh Sidious has a new old apprentice that seemingly came from nowhere okay...but I do remember thinking even back then that Dooku didn’t really seem committed to the Sith and was more a ideologue who just wanted to use his position as a way to form an independent system of stars from the Galactic Republic and what not. He seemed to be a true believer in the whole separatist cause while Sidious knew it was just a means to an end.

yeah but we already knew Kylo was conflicted, started training under a Jedi, had experience with being a follower of the light side of the force, and of course had only been to the darkside for a handful of years.
Sheev had been trained exclusively in the dark side from day 1 afaik

Because of this movie, we truly know next to nothing about the true Palpatine’s past

I wonder if Disney will learn anything from the reviews of this. Box office is just slightly under TLJ right, so they probably don’t think it’s a failure exactly, but they have to be alarmed by the reaction, right?

I dont think any reaction from this fanbase is alarming anymore

  11. Guess we need another prequel to answer it. Maybe his dad is the original Skywalker.

I mean, I think are already making changes based on Solo, despite it being a fun film. The saga is over and with the shift after Solo, I think whatever they do next will be different.

  13. I'm cool with a focus on tv shows and a movie every 3-4 years.

  14. I also can't imagine them not doing something with rey

if we get CGI’d younger Qui-Gon and completely CGI’d Dooku, I am IN on Star Wars Episode 0

Rey starting a new Jedi school would be cool. And then one of the kids would go bad and burn it down. And then she retreats to an island because she feels like a failure and then ah fuck it never mind

Saw this a second time. It was def a better experience. Shouldn’t have to be that way. I got over Palpatine returning and the obsession with lineage. The three things that bug me still are space lightning, the kiss, and her saying Rey Skywalker at the end. It would have been way more bad ass for her to say Rey Palpatine or simply Rey.

Also DO was more annoying this time around. Give me more Baba instead.

lol I assumed the sarcasm was showing through.

In all seriousness if they did that, as legendary as Christopher Lee is, I don’t think people would be outraged if another actor replaced him in that roll.
