For comparison on 8 day totals, TROS is about $30 million behind TLJ and over $100 million behind TFA. Nothing Star Wars related will ever beat TFA when it comes to box office. I mean it made almost $1 billion domestically.

The first of every Star Wars trilogy always made the most.
OT: A new hope was the highest grossing.
Prequels: Phantom menace was the highest
Sequels: Force awakens was the highest

The only trilogies I can think of that improved with each film, domestically and worldwide, is the Lord of the Rings and Captain America.

 

Looks like Iron Man, Thor and the Nolan Trilogy all did. I'm sure inflation plays a role in all of those.

 

Nolan’s Batman trilogy didn’t. The dark knight made more domestically than the dark knight rises. Same with Iron Man making more than Iron Man 2. You’re right about the Thor trilogy, though soon it won’t be a trilogy.

What I can't wrap my head around is that apparently Colin Trevorrow was axed when Kathleen Kennedy thought the screenplay he wrote wasn't up to par, but then they read this steaming pile of shit that JJ Abrams & Chris Terrio whipped up together and were like "oh nice. that's perfect!"

 

If they didn’t want to kill Chewie they could have had the stormtroopers rounding up the people from the celebration. Maybe focus in on the one that gave Rey the necklace. Then she blows that ship up with her lightning. Hell, she blew up someone

 

The whole Chewie death fakeout and reveal was so rushed. I didn't necessarily think Chewie should have died in that explosion, but it would have been nice if the movie made a bold choice and stuck with it without being like "JUST KIDDING!!!" a minute later.

 

This was pretty fucking bad

 

On a good note I giggled a ton lol

 

I'm not gonna open them because they're probably worth five million Republic credits by now

I have a feeling the poor reception of The Book of Henry played way more into it than anything else.

 

Colin Trevorrow definitely deserved to get kicked off this project after the steaming pile of shit that was Fallen Kingdom.

Not happy/satisfied with what he got in episode 9 anyways, but I Had more faith in J.J. than Colin

 

Colin didn’t make Fallen Kingdom. He made Jurassic World which I think is the best Jurassic Park after the original.

 

I heard that Colin didn’t have a solution to Carrie’s passing; leia was a major part of his script

 

He Co-wrote it. Also JW is a terrible movie as well
