Nevermind the entire movie was worth it just for this post and mental image. If Ruben Rabasa had been hiding out in that cave it would have ruined everyone’s best of the decade lists in an instant.

 

Spent thirty years and manipulated a child obsessed with his dad and the dark side just to get to this moment and you made all these ships that you pulled out of the ground with your powers to now be (almost) in space (so space horses can run on them still) ... just to have them not be able to go anywhere and all get blown up. lol. I had better Risk and Civ strategies in high-school my dude.

 

Forget Ruben in the cave, now I'm picturing Ruben as Palpatine

Shields are a fickle technology in SW huh. They are either impenetrable, or don't work at all. They are really hard to put on the bridge of capital ships, and always have to be off at the most inconvenient times.

 

That’s precisely what I was referring to. Rey and Ben showing up to fight him and he just says, “Stinky,” and ruins their will to fight.

Looks to be single bladed to me. I don’t think JJ would have not shown it if it was double bladed.

That's definitely true. Looks like it's part of her staff thing or at least meant to look similar, right?

 

He would’ve had someone confirm it with spoken dialogue.

JJ would absolutely have been unable to resist showing that it was double-bladed.

Should also point out, though, that if there was any character in Star Wars that it would be believable they would use a double-bladed saber, you would think it's the person who first learned how to fight with a staff.

 

Did anyone pickup on how critical the mission was to find the other Sith artifact? I feel like if just one more character had reminded me I would have realized the seriousness of it.

I haven't seen a movie in a while that needed to tell me exactly what I was seeing, or just had seen on screen, more often than this one did in a while. Usually while someone sprinting across the screen because something always has to be in motion apparently.

All part of Palpy's plan to get her there to kill him. Feel like if he could send a full on Galaxy Collect Call to announce his return, he shoulda just been like "the maps here Rey let's get this shit going" or something.

 

The artifact was bupkis, I found it in a Cracker Jack box.

 

It is pretty wild that Ben’s last word was “ow”.

 

I did like seeing Wedge.

 

I saw somewhere that Palpatine’s collect call was released exclusively via a Fortnite update
