I'm partially colorblind so when Rey ignited her new lightsaber at the end it looked red to me and I was very confused.

 

Each one is armed with planet destroying weapons. They can’t fly though

Yeah she seems like she’s done in recent interviews, but maybe in the future she’ll change her mind. Only getting 2 seconds of her new lightsaber is pain

Every time he's used Force Lightning, it's always come back to burn the shit out of him. He's like a missing member of the Three Stooges.

 

Which was more pointless? Rey igniting her saber at the end here or Maul igniting his in Solo?

 

Also I'm really surprised people interpreted the Lando/Jannah moment as hinting she's his daughter (because, and I can't stress this enough, that is patently absurd and also kinda racist?) when I just took it as "lol look, old man Lando is still a horndog".

I would have been fine with that, lol. Her taking the red saber into the future as a memory of Ben and hinting at the ideas of breaking down the binary rules about good and evil.

If it's a planet no one can find anyways, why not just build the ships in space like every other shipyard in the SW universe?

I thought it was played super strangely. Like I was waiting for him to be like, “Uh oh, I knew a girl in that area...” and that would have been a huge yikes, but then it shifted and I thought he was hitting on her, and then whoops no it’s actually just a useless sequel hook.

The ship thing actually calls to mind one of the nitpicks from the Plinkett review of Star Trek 2009, which is: why the hell would a highly-advanced civilization ever build space ships, especially space ships that big, on the surface of a planet, with gravity, and not in space, where there is no gravity.

 

I mean... US military’s trillion-dollar F-35 fighter jet is almost unflyable

 

I really do think it was just him hitting on her (and her being into it)

 

Seems unlikely... unless they rerelease her latest one with the yellow boxed in it like they did with her OG one for TFA.
