The scene with Palpatine reminded me of the climaxes of every DC movie. No lighting and superheroes shooting laser beams at each other. Whoever shoots the stronger laser beam wins

I would like to see a Rey Disney+ 8 episode miniseries of her adventures with the yellow lightsaber

 

Hux’s betrayal was weak. Before he divulged the reason I thought, wow that’s like hitler spying on Germany for the US. Hux blew up 5 planets. Then the real reason was revealed and... oh. Guess we’ll shoot you now and never speak of this again.

Yeah, maybe it was a bad idea for Snoke, aka Palps, playing them against each other if he really wanted to rule the galaxy. Damn, if only he coulda seen that shit coming.

 

I actually understand that. Palpatine has no friends, no love, only underlings, much like Voldemort in Harry Potter he can't understand the power of friendship and love that can be forged so it doesn't even enter his mind that it's a possibility.

 

He ... clearly sees friendship and love and jealousy and uses it to his advantage in the prequels ... it's kinda a big part of them.

 

I thought they were like the spirits of the dead sith and that when he came fo full power they’d be actual living beings again. But I could be very wrong. That was one of the scenes I was talking about being too dark and muddy to make out any of what was happening or what weight it held.

 

When they explode the stands you see a bunch of them go flying like they have actual mass/are bodies.

Palpatine should have lifted up the star destroyers out of atmosphere. He only needs what, ten of them? Then they jump to light speed and that’s it. He wins.
