it does seem that the projects hes been a part of were/are a bit more of a bureaucracy with the creative vision when it comes down to it. hard to know who to blame or praise. topical.

    this forbes review is damn

presumably bringing back palpy is the biggest element thats seen as pandering to the audience but my question is if the plot has been re-routed what were they originally going to do after TLJ? I feel like that had to already be set in stone.

Nah palps was a Hail Mary. He wasn’t in trevorrows script

They had no plan with this trilogy and that’s the problem

having said that...there were some hints of palps being alive / up to something in the new canon books.

I wish Lindelof was given the show after Season 6:crylaugh:

But seriously you need to watch The Leftovers. I wasn't a Lost viewer so I guess I didn't go in with the same animosity for Lindelof but he probably did two of the best shows of the 2010s if we're counting Watchmen (though I say that not seeing the finale yet, so if that lets me down it could stain its reputation like GOT's last season did)

Yes, there is. I found it fine, and it made sense to me in the grand scheme of things. Was a bit throwaway, but as the film went on it was all good.

I don’t understand why everyone obsesses w/ them “not having a plan.” The original trilogy didn’t really have a plan. Marvel Studios had less of a plan than Kevin Feige sometimes makes it sounds, & the times the plan took too much precedence are often their low points.

You know who did have a plan? Snyder’s DCEU. How I Met Your Mother. The monster movie Dark Universe.

Having a plan doesn’t guarantee that the result is going to be good. But not having a plan seems like a really bad idea if you want a consistent story/vision in a trilogy.

I guess it just depends on if the movies are good or not

    plans are good though
