Why would Luke drink milk? I hate Rian Johnson!

 

Most of the time any of those fair opinions are mixed in with factually wrong or just not well thought out points. When I respond to a post with that mix, I only attack the ones that are factually wrong. I have never seen someone come on this forum with only the strictly opinion and preference based post hating on TLJ.


Instead we got dumb shit like “bombs don’t fall in space!” “The leader of the resistance should tell all secrets/plans to a recently demoted hotshot who just got people needlessly killed”

honestly I thought I had more examples. But I guess my brain purged a lot of TLJ thread. It got really dumb there for awhile.

 

Can't wait for this thing to come out so we can stop talking about all of this for a bit

 

Honestly yeah. I just want to have more positivity in the fandom again. I have my minor critiques of TLJ but it's still either my third or fourth favorite SW movie at this point... I'm really enjoying the sequel trilogy, and I hope they nail the landing and those of us who have enjoyed it thus far are happy.

 

I've said it before, but Disney is 4/4 in my eyes with the movies.

Although I’ve been dunkin’ on a TLJ hater at work all week and ngl, it feels good. All he says is stupid shit

This was legitimately part of my initial reaction as a pre-teen watching the originals for the first time after having grown up with the prequels But I quickly came around.

 

I just really hope Rian directs an episode of Mandalorian and smacks it out of the park so people who hate TLJ will stop using that to make people think he’s a bad filmmaker.

 

One of my friends is the same except he has yet to come around. He won’t even watch ROTJ because he thought the fights in IV and V were boring (and episode II happens to be his favorite). It’s the worst take on Star Wars I’ve ever heard from someone in person.

 

All the negativity, criticism, toxicity, calls to remake, online harrassment, invalid arguments, mean comments, etc. doesn't change the main thing across all of this...

Disagree with the choices made or not, Star Wars is a film. Films owe you nothing. You are under no obligation to watch them at any time.

This applies to people who have been with the franchise for over 40 years, and love and adore these characters, to people walking into a cinema for the first time. While it might hurt to see the characters or plot lines play out in a way you dislike based on your love for it, it still owes you nothing.

I'm sure I'll love this film, but I might walk out completely disappointed and bummed.

I'm not owed or entitled to the story/ending I want. I want to be surprised and emotional about the one I get. That's what Star Wars is.

 

Is it the fact that he drinks milk at all, the fact that he like milks the thing's teet, or the fact that he dribbles some on his beard that gets people all riled up...??? Cuz they all drink bluish milk in the farmhouse on Tatooine before Luke goes out to watch the suns set before his aunt and uncle get roasted in Episode IV.

I also want Dave Filoni to bring out some content that absolutely flops and sucks so the whingers lose their fucking mind.

 

There’s quite a few rough episodes of CW and even Rebels and I can come up with critiques of Mandalorian if Baby Yoda will forgive me.

I hope it gets revealed that Baby Yoda is a female of the species down the track just to see the blame on Kennedy for feminist propaganda.

They never would concede that. It’s like people who shit on Lindelof for “Lost” or “Prometheus.” They won’t concede that he’s talented in the right space with something like “Leftovers” or “Watchmen.” He “ruined” their experience once and must damned to hell.
