The idea/mentality that nothing can be left to the imagination is the worst way to consume media

 

(and antithetical to the original Star Wars!)

 

I'm seeing it the 17th (same as other critics). I tried to spoiler tag and give the vaguest impression when I saw TLJ and I think even that made people mad in the thread, so I'll keep to DMs only.

 

Once spoilers/reviews start picking up I will leave this thread until I see the movie.

Haha, no I know, I was just saying

'Cause it's true. The decision that she comes from "a nobody" is one of the best in the series.

 

The pissy fanboys going in with the mentality of "they better do this!" and "watch them fuck up this one" is as Jason stated above, completely antithetical to the original Star Wars. The honest trailer posted earlier said it best, they've already decided how they feel about this movie. Doesn't matter what happens in it, they'll find ways to say it's a complete failure.

 

We’ll see how this stands after TROS is released

 

I feel like there’s a lot of other material they could choose to spend time on during the finale of the trilogy/saga other than Rey’s lineage. Of course this means that they probably won’t.

 

Man, I sure do love that Ezra, Kanan, and Ashoka all were revealed as super secret Skywalkers at the end of Rebels. Otherwise the show just wouldn’t have made sense.

 

How about a Rey spinoff that's basically just Mamma Mia.

The entire film score has leaked, titles and all. Be careful out there!!

 

Have seen a scary amount of people saying “Movie is a failure if Hayden Christensen force ghost isn’t in it!” which is like... why? That’s what you’re hanging the success of this movie on?
