right...but they’re weary when they’re universally following his orders. Omg, Mitt Romney is a Jedi.

  2. Read resistance reborn. It was fine. Probably a mid to bottom tier star wars book for me.

The Last Jedi takes will forever be a thing in the Star Wars community, especially if actors continue to give their two cents every now and then.

Alright, will do in a few months once a new actor gives their opinion. I don't wanna post the same article twice.

Watched both Solo and Rogue One today. It was only my second time watching both of these and I enjoyed them both a lot more the second time around, particularly the latter. Now that I'm doing this I don't think I've ever just straight up gone chronologically like this (although like I said I haven't seen the prequels at all in years), I'm really enjoying watching everything come together in order

Can't wait to do this with the shows included next year

can we just put a moratorium on posting articles from either comicbookmovie or movieweb or ignMovies or any clickbait website like that

It’s not weaker but it doesn’t have any highlights such as duel of the fates or the Mustafar fight (as goofy as some of the choreography looks). The only highlight I can imagine is possibly the Kenobi and Jango fight.

Lol, it was an interview from one of the main cast members. It wasn’t clickbait

It absolutely is clickbait. That article (like so many others like it) was created to keep churning the last jedi debate, it contains no context what so ever, just one line where jon says he felt the movie was ‘iffy’ - offers no additional quotes or information. If youre gonna post an article about why john boyega didnt like the last jedi, do ah actual interview with him about it. this article was created for no other reason than to get the “see john boyega hated the last jedi too” reaction from the internet. it serves no purpose here or anywhere. I really dont mean to be a jerk but im just so sick of seeing these articles.

I know what you mean about actual clickbait but he does offer a quick explanation of why he thought it was iffy and why he’s excited for how it’ll be handled in IX. Disagreeing with him on that or not, that’s fine and all, but it’s not like the article is titled “YOU WILL NEVER GUESS WHAT FINN SAID ABOUT TLJ!!!” and it’s only a few words saying “...it was iffy...” with zero context or something.

The take of feeling weird about separating our heroes in TLJ while comparing it to the OT makes no sense. The heroes splitting for the second movie in the trilogy is exactly what happened in the OT. And the prequels as well. You can argue whether TLJ should have done it, but you can’t say it didn’t feel like the OG movies and use that as a point.

That's a narrow definition of clickbait

John is basically saying that he wouldn't have personally made some of the choices that were made with the characters and wished all of the characters were together more. Doesn't mean anything beyond that.

But if you looked at the first and most upvoted comment on the reddit thread related to that article, it says "This all but confirms that TLJ sucks for these reasons" then lists them.

Which is exactly the response the article was trying to invoke.

I do think Poe never really connecting with Rey was a missed opportunity. Them introducing themselves at the end of TLJ is odd, to be fair.

I mean, people are going to react to articles in a billion different ways. Doesn’t mean the initial article itself is the problem or that they shouldn’t be allowed to be posted.

It’s not a big deal either way, I just don’t think banning them makes sense.

That’s the way I took it at well. If the article only stated that John’s opinion is that it was “iffy” and that’s it then it would have been click bait but the quote, which is the main body of the article, includes John‘s explanation of it. Which side of the argument it contributes to shouldn’t matter as long as the article itself is detailing what the title of the article portrays. Non-clickbait articles have agendas along with most media that’s delivered to consumers.

Most clickbait articles are against TLJ, without a doubt, but not all articles that give a neutral or non-favorable approach are clickbait. However, if it will save some white hairs from growing then I won’t post anymore articles from that site. Nbd.

I loved TLJ so others opinions of it don't bother me anymore. It is interesting that the people who disliked it really like to tell others they disliked it (the internet in general, not necessarily in here), but that's their agenda, doesn't affect how I feel about the movie. Excited for next week!

I’ve started to enjoy TLJ a lot while spending more time with it on Netflix but I still find the comments of actors involved with it interesting just because they are part of the film. As for others, I don’t really care. Also, one week away is insane. It doesn’t feel like we’re that close.

With how big these universes are (SW, Marvel, DC, etc.), I feel that not every actor involved is going to love every decision. I think that should be expected to some degree. It's just unfortunate that it fuels the trolls, but that's the world we live in.

True. Not every actor in Marvel films feel positive towards the decisions in them and a lot of that, just like with Mark Hamill, comes from the actor living and breathing the character to such an extent that they are naturally going to have opinions regarding the character that will differ from most filmmakers and I think that's a good thing. It only sucks when trolls use an actor's personal ideas concerning the character differing from the filmmaker to push their own agenda without the shared experience.
