I’m gonna need some specifics. Like what criteria this is going off of.

you could do that most movies in my mind.

Found the tweet and he's had people vote on if you could explain the plot of TPM or not. I enjoy parts of the movie, but I'm not sure what it's even about, stuff just happens lmao

Again... need some specifics as you what they are looking for. The following could work to sum up the plot of the movie:

two Jedi are dispatched to handle a trade dispute. What they discover and the adventure that follows will change the galaxy forever.

Attack of the Clones & Revenge of the Sith continue to be trash. Didn't have the quaint charm that revisiting Phantom Menace had for me. Hard to believe I wasted close to 5 hrs this weekend revisiting 'em after being at peace for so long about never watching 'em again for the rest of my life.

The visual effects are so bad, y'all. There are more practical elements than people realize, but even so, the lots of digital effects weaved in, the bad compositing, some unflattering art direction, etc... Being shot digitially means it doesn't even have that nostalgic 35mm film vibe. Which, since Lucas really prioritized the effects over storytelling & performance, that priority aging poorly brings it all down like a house of cards.

I hated every lightsaber battle here, too. I maintain that Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan vs Maul holds up well in spite of signalling the shift, but the big battle w/ all the Jedi in the arena? Bad, sterile, no personality. Dooku vs Anakin & Obi-Wan is bad. Dooku vs Yoda is bad. Mace vs Palpatine, bad. Obi-Wan vs Anakin, & Yoda vs Palpatine... Who let this happen? For all Lucas' interest in experimenting w/ visual effects & setting, I cannot believe how unimaginative Yoda vs Palpatine is, considering what both characters were established as in the original trilogy; it makes me appreciate the end of Last Jedi that much more.

There are marginally more moments of good performances than I remember... Marginally. C-3PO is consistently quality, even adding moments of life to that bad Clones finale. Palpatine has some great cornball villain moments here & there. Even Padme shines in some of the non-romantic bits, especially in that famous "this is how liberty dies" scene. The problem is, almost everyone who does anything right here does something as good or better in a more enjoyable film. (Even Padme has an equally good Senate scene in Phantom.)

The only exception is Obi-Wan Kenobi. Ewan felt sleepy in Phantom, but he's having the time of his life in these films. Lots of good sarcasm & camp. He's the only aspect I'd miss if I tossed out these two dirt cheap DVDs I got... Except, he's getting that Disney+ series. I hope he brings this energy to that so that I can abandom this trash for the rest of my miserable existence.

lol. Ok. Yeah. These are movies for children, etc. I know. Whatever. I know enough adults who like Revenge & hate Last Jedi to not feel guilty wasting all this energy on reviewing these, lol.

Lucas did w/ his inability to make lightsaber battles interesting, lol.

I remember thinking Yoda's lightsaber reveal in Clones was so cool as a kid (&, yeah, again, I know, movies for children). But, looking back, what kind of lame, boring idea is it to have Yoda, Palpatine, & Dooku do a bunch of big, fast, wild swordfighting? Maybe the original trilogy only had more modest fights due to the limitations of the time, but the results have aged way better & have so much more heart. Especially in Revenge, those old geezers feel mapped onto action that fits neither their bodies nor their characters.

As for Obi-Wan vs Anakin, that one could've been made into something good more easily. The approach is a pretty natural progression of the trend that the Maul fight started, & I still like that one. I think the main tipping point is, there's a severe lack of character moments outside of the very beginning & very end, unlike the Maul fight, where the characters get small moments for characterization beyond generic lightsaber wielder. Revenge goes so far into emphasizing visual effects over storytelling that, as soon as the effects become obsolete, so does the scene. Outside of some decent campy emotion bookending the fight, it's is lifeless. No moments like that weird hallway w/ the dividers. I can tell w/out context what differentiates Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, & Maul from each other, but Anakin & Obi-Wan are functionally the same, & not in a narratively compelling way.

Like I said before, this crap really makes me appreciate The Last Jedi more. The prequel fights are largely inseperable from YouTube fan films like those Bat in the Sun fights, & narratively unrecognizable next to the original trilogy. But, you put Kylo vs force projection Luke next to Obi-Wan vs Vader or the Return throne room sequence, & you get the same spirit expanded in a way that feels like a natural progression, not lifeless action figures.

The only good prequel lightsaber battle is TPM imo. It's the only one that actually feels like a fight and not an aggressive ballet dance or mindless flailing.

i'd agree that Duel of the Fates is the only good saber battle in the prequel trilogy and that battle is helped mightily BY the music itself

Palpatine and Yoda throwing senate pods at each other is visually and thematically one of the best things to come out of the prequels.

the way Yoda looks in the prequels honestly ruins whatever scenes he is in for me
