I'll never forget the feeling of Rey's theme kicking in during the credits of my midnight showing of TFA in 2015. I wanted to cry because of how much happiness I felt over the 2 and a bit hours I just witnessed.

Sidenote: I'll never forget the feeling of watching TFA for the first time in general. Pure bliss.

That feeling of the opening theme coming out blasting as the crawl started for the first time in a decade, after thinking I’d never see that again for a new star wars, is a feeling that I’ll never have again.

Also I love that video of that dude yelling “turn your flash off idiot” right when the crawl starts.

Another happiness moment: when the shot pans away from Scariff blowing up in Rogue One. Being in a full cinema with an audience who had no idea what the next 2 minutes had in store, and when that hallway scene happened...

The cheers, claps and tears during that 30 seconds was epic the first time.

Rogue One remains my favorite Disney Star Wars film.

My second screening had a way scaled down but similar incident. The guy next to me for some reason whipped out his phone to record the crawl. I was thinking, “seriously fuckhead?” When the guy on his other side told him to put it away in a very stern voice and he did.

not nearly as climatic as the clip haha

When I saw TFA, I was in the last row. I had my hand over the phone and it was on my lap and everything. I was like 10 seats to this dudes right and when I put the phone away I noticed him giving me a dirty look. This was also like 3 weeks after it opened.

We got married the weekend of TFA so I got a whole row for my groomsmen the night of the rehearsal dinner. No one was annoying or anything but it was a pretty special weekend lol

It won’t happen, but I’d love to hear the 20th Century Fox fanfare at the start of this. Doesn’t have to have the Fox logo, since it’s not under Fox organizationally. But, like, just throw the music in there.

For good measure throw in the THX intro with the crescendo.

Showing my age here, but I remember the feeling of the fanfare blaring out and the opening crawl starting when we all piled into the back of my older brother's friend's Jeep to go see Episode I on opening night.

I was so afraid the bad robot logo/animation would be ahead of TFA, was bummed not to hear the fox fanfare but just going right into the LucasFilm logo was a good choice

Lucasfilm logo gives me chills every time.

I really dislike the SW intro before mandalorian. It’s too CGI/cartoonish.

I remember that, too. But I got into Star Wars during the special edition release, so I didn’t have very long to wait for a new Star Wars and I knew it was coming. The decade between 3 and 7 and much of it spent thinking it would never happen again really played a big part in that night for me.
