At this point, I think people just need to curate their feeds to not see that nonsense. I honestly rarely see it and when I do it’s someone trashing it.

I vividly remember my theater’s reaction to space Leia. Lots of confused gasps and the person next time me out loud saying “What the fuck?” I didn’t even have the chance to form my own opinion on it and now every time I see the scene I think about it haha

TFA is better TLJ imo. The Throne scene, Yoda scene and the scenes between Rey/Ben were good. Whereas I liked almost every scene in TFA.

When I rewatched TFA yesterday, I was surprised how well it mostly held up & how good certain elements were, but there are things in it that, if nothing else, puzzle me. One of them being the bizarre choice to make Luke some weird maguffin for literally the whole runtime. I don't know that I'd wanna go back in time & change that, since I love TLJ so much & think much of what I find interesting in it came from Johnson reacting to what Abrams did. But, like, how weird is it that, for all of Abrams' classic Star Wars worship, he didn't give Luke & Han literally any scenes together? I dunno.

I agree. Han, Luke and Leia never all 3 sharing a scene together will always be a huge missed opportunity to me, especially since it can now no longer happen.

I wouldn't be so sure. "No one's ever really gone."

J.J. and Michael Arndt had a difficult time trying to figure out where to put Luke into the story because he would just end up overshadowing the new characters. It does seem like a missed opportunity but I love the new characters so I wouldn’t want to sacrifice their story... maybe if they had more time but who knows

I doubt they’re going to use footage from Ep VII to have Leia in a scene with Luke and Han in the future.

I mean, that trailer line, if in the final film, will almost certainly be about Kylo Ren not being really gone to the dark side, right?

I actually assumed that line was just pulled from TLJ for trailer purposes but won't actually appear in TROS at all. I'm sure the symbolism behind the phrase will manifest itself though.

    “The greatest teacher, failure is”

I’m still going with my crazy fan theory of ghost Luke Leia and Han together in some form to end the movie. #hanresurrection

    “The greatest teacher, failure is”

Or Luke welcoming Leia into the Force which somebody in here suggested way back.

About the Leia thing, cast members have talked about being "scanned" before and how they can be used in films after their deaths, or just used in general without their actual presence. So I feel like it's totally plausible.

“I’m scanned into Star Wars now, my face and body,” he told writer Tad Friend. “Who’s to say that at some point they won’t take that scan and say, ‘Let’s make another movie with Donald. He’s been dead for fifteen years, but we can do whatever we want with him.’"

Although to be fair, I'm not sure how much of this is factual or likely to happen, and how much of it is Donald Glover being Donald Glover haha.
