Not watching that clip. I already stopped watching tv spots so I can go in knowing less

 

I didn't watch the last teaser in full, but I saw some thumbnails on YT recommendations which may have given away some of the content for me. Not going for the clip.

 

Working my way through a rewatch. Currently up to Solo. This time around I went in chronological order.

 

Not sure what this is but it looks cool as fuck

Hopefully this mean they made some meaningful edits. It's only 14 minutes shorter than the rumored cut anyway.

 

wat? a quick wiki search says nearly all star wars films are shorter than 2 hours 20 minutes except TLJ and AotC. and those are only 10 or so minutes longer. weird and dumb article.

 

That site made an oopsie. It states that the movie is two hours and 21 minutes, not 121 minutes like A New Hope. The writer of that article should have double checked his own writing before making that the headline.

What is this, amateur hour?

This movie better make me cry. I want to walk out emotional, happy, sad and satisfied. I have a feeling it will.

 

I was just thinking about this today haha - mostly bc the trailer got my eyes a lil sweaty

 

I want Toy Story 4 type sobs. Like the feeling of "Oh no it's over" but like, "That's beautiful."

 

I had a dream last night that they somehow lost the opening crawl to the movie and it was showing at all theaters without it. The only way you could see the crawl was downloading a leak and even that way only displayed one letter per row. Then it just jumped into action with a Palpatine/Star Destroyer hybrid that just cackled and shot lasers out his arms. Also, the theater manager couldn't figure out how to turn the lights off so it was bright as hell. Not sure this is going to top that.

 

Your dream just made me realise this may potentially be the last time we see a crawl in a Star Wars movie. Depending on what Disney's pipe dreams are for side trilogies / movies, etc. Future Star Wars films may not get a crawl...

 

I'd bet if future movies are set up as trilogies and not one-offs, we'll get the crawl.

 

For me the crawl is for the skywalker saga, i dont think id care at all to see it in anything else

 

I’m pretty sure it’s been stated that the opening crawl will exclusively be for the Skywalker saga.

 

I feel like that was just for the spin-offs though. Like if they went back and did an Old Republic trilogy, I'd bet they keep the crawl for that.

 

releasing the 30 second no-context clip seems like a weird move - did they do that for the last 2 films?
