Today I was talking to one of my supervisors about getting tickets. It went like this:

Me: Yeah so for the last couple of movies--

    Him: --Which were really bad.

Me: --Um so yeah for the last few movies I waited in line all day to get a good seat but this time I reserved a seat.

Like I didn't even finish a thought before he inserted his disdain for the new movies lol. I haven't been paying attention because this new trilogy has revealed that Star Wars fans are the most vocal, obnoxious, and entitled fanbase, but it seems like everyone loves to hate on TLJ.

The only thing I'm kinda bummed about going into the film is that it seems, through the trailers, that Rey will not be making her own lightsaber.

Was that ever actually hinted at or were we just, hoping?

I was just hoping since every other Jedi has crafted their own saber and since Anakin/Luke's saber was ripped in two in TLJ.

Instagram's the worst place to find toxic Star Wars fans. The fact that so many of them jump on just to comment their hatred is so ridiculous. I wasn't stoked on parts of The Last Jedi either, but I'm not gonna go around saying it ruined Star Wars or needs to be remade or destroyed Luke Skywalker. Luke's arc was one of my favourite parts of the movie actually.

The whole Kelly Marie thing sickens me. I know heaps of them are trolls, but to harrass a young actress like that is gross.

All these 'Bring Lucas back!' pieces of shit are clearly forgetting about the Christmas Special.

Also my favourite part of the toxic fandom is the:

"Disney ruined Star Wars, so I'll only be seeing it twice instead of the five times I was originally going to!" argument. :crylaugh:

I know I should ignore the shit fans but it's hard not to. They're such fuckwits.

So Rey is holding some sort of dagger in that shot with her and Kylo destroying what looks like Vaders helmet. There's some speculation that it's the dagger from the Mortis arc the Clone Wars. I could see these force artifacts being a big part of the film. Maybe the Knights of Ren are looking for them too? I have so many questions after the trailer haha.

Honestly, I could see that being Rey and Kylo’s plot.

I’m interested in how they will explain Palpatine being alive for 30 years and not doing anything and that no one with force capabilities realized this.

The same way thousands of Jedi didn't realize the Sith were right under their noses until the prequels.

You would think Luke would feel the presence of the dark side not completely gone. Also, what has Palpatine been doing for 30 years? Would Snoke (who I assume would have dark side knowledge) have any awareness to Palpatine still being alive?

My ideal explanation would be just something like, "he barely survived RotJ 'cause, uh, the Force, but he was barely alive; it took until conveniently now for him to be able to do anything himself."

it was mentioned by Rey in TLJ that Luke had completely shut himself out from the Force, so he likely had no idea what's been going on since his hermit days began. I can't begin to speculate what Snoke's relationship to palpatine was, if there even was one.

  22. There have been multiple instances of powerful force users out there in the galaxy without anyone knowing they existed
