I love Drafthouse and I want to move near one so I have an excuse to go more haha.

 

I refuse to go to any other theater chain at this point. I consider myself very blessed to have like 6 available around Dallas.

 

Wait where is this theater?

 

Something about movie theater steak gives me pause.

I don’t eat at movies. Even Drafthouse. If I go alone I’ll maaaaaaybe get a soda, if I go with friends we usually get food or something after

 

sour patch kids and popcorn are a *must*

 

eating those together is a socially-acceptable insanity

 

I used to mix snow caps with popcorn. Now that was near perfection in snack form.

 

I only eat if I’m at the Alamo

 

Post-mix Coke, M+M's...sometimes another bite sized-chocolate variety. Popcorn's varely rarely a go-to for me.

I've mastered the art of drink: pee: timing ratio. A sip or two during previews. Once the movie starts, a few sips here and there until about an hour in. Then bigger sips are fine up until the end of the movie, every 10-15 minutes. If it's a 3 hour movie you'll need to piss afterwards, but not uncomfortably. You won't be busting. For a 2 hour movie you'll be good.

 

Also ALWAYS piss beforehand. Even if you don't think you need to go. Doesn't matter whether you're watching LOTR: Return Of The King, or a 90 minute romcom. Always go beforehand, if not just for the placebo.

An old friend of mine once snuck in a big ol' sandwich into our regular ol' Cinemark, hidden in his satchel.

The sandwich was from a local place called Bowsers that does Pittsburgh style sandwiches, w/ fries & slaw on 'em. Like, if you know Primanti Bros, imagine one of those, but like 50% bigger. And, the one he got was basically dripping w/ their signature sauce.

It was so obnoxious & unnecessary in a way that was pretty typical for this friend, but there was something almost commendable about the audacity.

definitely have eaten five guys in a movie once. brought the bag right in. it's all about the confidence.

 

Commendable, yes. Sneaking shit in is pretty common in Australia because the prices are so ridiculous, so candy, chocolate and drinks is all fair game. Big fuck off sandwiches though, nah. Pretty poor cinema etiquette on his part.
