I'm wondering how they will let Leia go gracefully in TLJ? Also the last scene in the trailer makes you ask a lot of questions. I'm going to guess training with Luke doesn't go as planned? I'm betting he begins with rejecting Rey.

I just read that Porgs are inspired by Puffins. Which, if you can tell from my avatar, is kind of a huge win in my eyes.

If he rejects teaching her... Kylo did offer to teach her first...

  5. I got mine too. $6 shipping seemed reasonable. Hope it comes in a tube. No idea what I'll do with it. Haha.

Carrie had finished all her filming for this movie before she passed, from what I remember reading, so everything we see in the movie was probably shot with intention that she would return for Ep9, and they did say in Ep9 they had a big scene where she would confront Kylo, which obviously will not come to be unfortunately.

Since they've already confirmed they wont digitally reanimate her, I am assuming we will see her through Ep8, and then she will merely be referenced in the next one, or somehow killed off between movies, and it will be referenced in the opening crawl of Ep9

If they do kill her off between movies. I hope they start 9 with some sort of funeral ceremony, so we can all say our good byes.
Having Chewy give the eulogy would be great

on IMDB Joseph Gordon Levitt is credited as a "Voice". Did anything get released about him joining the cast? Will he be a storm trooper? I know Tom Hardy is on as a trooper as well (or so I remember).

  11. Joseph Gordon-Levitt Has a Cameo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi
You know what I can tell you is that my – and we haven’t said this yet, but I think this is OK to say – is that my very good friend, the actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who was in a movie I made called Looper, he does a cameo as a voice of an alien in the film. It’s a very brief little thing, but it’s fun, and if you watch the movie, maybe you’ll be able to hear and pick out Joe’s voice in the movie. That’s the first time I’m revealing that.

Nice! Guess I missed this haha

  13. So @Jason Tate did you end up watching the trailer? I haven't been keeping up with all of these pages, so sorry if you already shared your thoughts on it, but I'm interested to read what you thought of it!

If you didn't watch the trailer yet... don't. Feel like it kind of ruined the broad strokes of the film's plot for the me. Not at all the more heart-swelling, imagistic trailer of VII.

  16. Disagree completely. I think it’s a fine trailer to watch unless you wanna know nothing. The voice overs and the visuals are not connected and you can tell, it’s a lot of cool images and a few lines. The TFA trailer gave away way more.

  17. Yep and two thumbs up. Looks fantastic. I hope it ends up my favorite.

I resisted for a chunk of a day, but realized all of the “trailer spoilers” were going to annoy me more than anything.

Definitely agree with the sentiment that it was clear misdirection. Beautifully cut samples of the film, great cinematography, familiar faces, great music, and the right amount of tease.

  21. Yeah, Hannah watched it and she signed off on it not being too spoiler heavy. And once gifs hit my Twitter timeline I couldn't mute fast enough I was like, fuck it, avoid the TV spots and all that, but watch the first trailer. I'm glad I did.
