I adore TFA. The similarities to ANH hold it back for me in terms of ranking it too high. But it's in my top 3-4 for sure. There are a ton of great things people overlook because of the similar plot points.

 

5 > 4 > 3 > 6 > 7 > RO > 1 > 2

Howard the Duck is underappreciated.

Complaining about ranking is dumb.

The prequels are all irredeemably terrible, with Attack of the Clones easily being the worst of the three, but even whatever the best of the three is, isn't worth sitting through.

Plot wise, my biggest "fix" in the prequels would be that Maul doesn't die til episode 3/count dooku isn't a thing. You have Maul escape in episode 1 and be the beginning of the hatred that stews in Anakin for killing Qui Gon. Episode 3 he has a duel with him to eliminate him/replace him.

 

SW prequels > Hobbit trilogy

Meh. As I said above, I disagree. But the Hobbits aren't really worth defending. I just think there are some good performances and just a bit more competent film making in Hobbits. Both are weak.

I am sure somewhere in this thread or a podcast I've got done it before. I don't even care anymore, everything but the prequels makes me happy and I enjoy watching, good enough for me.
