I've enjoyed Kevin Kiner's contributions to rebels. I was sort of surprised that he was taken off of Rogue One

  3. Not Nolan's fault a bunch of people copied something badly. His use of sound in movies is fucking awesome. Dunkirk's sound design was next level.

Who is more foolish? The fool, or the fool who follows?

Sorry just wanted to use a SW quote

I still blame him for the sound tho

I would be super interested in a Zimmer scored SW film...even the "dronier" sound I could see working for a darker SW film, like with the bounty hunters/boba fett.
I love Williams, but I feel like what he does is so tied to the OT/trilogies. It's just so precious ha. I'm not sure I want Williams derivative music used throughout every single standalone (unless of course, there are OT characters in the films, like Vader, then that of course make sense).
It's on my bucket list to see Williams live at one of his Hollywood Bowl shows. Zimmer live was amazing!!

Well it couldn't have been because of the whole Bespin part in there. I'm just interested to see how it all comes together.

Exactly. So how does Bloodline confuse things?

I'm so happy right now I can't believe it. So glad this happened.

I'd be fine with Johnson doing it of course but I also kind of like the idea of three different directors. It's very OT, obviously.

Definitely prefer the idea of a different director for each film.

And I would so happily vouch for Lucas to return, provided someone else helms the script. He started the franchise and it'd serve as a nice redemption for him to end his career on a high. Then again if it flops, the hate would be ugly lol.

I'm sorry, but Lucas has no place directing any more. When he works with someone like Feloni and floats ideas and character moments it works wonderfully. We don't need a script from him and we don't need the shot reverse show talking through the whole movie with some bonus sitting at times.

If Lucas were involved, he should be an idea man ONLY. No script, no ditching.

I love the Prequels and still wouldn't want Lucas back for a film. Give him the Underworld/1313 TV show maybe, but not a film

  13. No Lucas no matter what. If only I could keep him away from Indiana Jones too.

I think he did well as an idea man during Clone Wars. I wouldn't be surprised if he had some input on Rebels as well. Feloni is very much the heir apparent when it comes to what Lucas was in the 70's.

I wouldn't mind seeing Lucas direct a non-saga film with someone else working with him on the script. The performances would probably still be bad, but it'd be a fun final project by the man who originally envisioned this world. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if he has no interest in ever entering this world again.

As someone who came out of the theater the first time after seeing the movie believing Rey to be either Han and Leia or Luke's daughter that he hid away after Kylo purged the Jedi, a lot!

Everyone has their own ideas of how it was going to go. JJ changed the movie in the last few months, it seems to me, to better fit his narrative that "anyone can be a Jedi," which he really pushed during the promotion of TFA. There were plenty of peppered hints that she was related in some way to Han that weren't able to be edited out, at least in my opinion.

Solid comment. You're being so ridiculous when all I'm doing is providing my opinion. If you don't have anything to say maybe just don't quote me because I don't need your negative energy bringing my enjoyment in the Star Wars thread down.

How do you explain the loaded, "Who's the girl?" question from Maz to Han then just cutting away? And the "I've seen your eyes, I know your eyes!" in the ad campaign? I listen to plenty of Star Wars podcasts who feel the same thing so it's not totally ridiculous and out of left field. Get over yourself man.

PS: absolutely none of that has anything to do with Bloodline somehow throwing off the timeline. I said "yeesh" because it had bumfuck nothing to do with the original point.

If Lucas directed IX then I'm sure he would just be taking orders from the producers and writers. I would give him another chance as long as he isn't putting in dialogue or changing the story that Johnson wrote.

Directing is still important and he is not good at it. Hard pass.
