I don't think I've ever seen a Stephen Daldry movie.

I was really excited for an Obi-Wan movie, but as the days have gone by, I've become less and less enthused. I'm really not sure what story you could tell. I wouldn't really want a planet hopping movie, I'd want it to be him dealing with Tatoonie.

 

Get the safe ones out of the way; we'll get some cool innovative shit down the road, I hope.

 

I want to see a gritty Ewoks film. Give me Wicket's coming-of-age story

 

also daldry is a weird choice for a star wars film

 

I hope the white woman is a brunette who's described as feisty or plucky in the script

 

It does seem like the plan could be for that. There's rumors that they may take a break for a few years from after the trilogy and final spin off (which I guess is finally confirmed as Obi-Wan). Then after the break they'd do another trilogy and set of spin offs, with breaking into TV being the plan during the film break. Hopefully they can try experimenting more on TV and then bring some new characters to film. I've said it before, but I'd love a Dr. Aphra spin off. I've loved the character in the comics.

 

My body has been waiting for an Obiwan movie.

 

I hope they eventually consider an Old Republic or a gritty Star Wars 1313 (the cancelled game) esque film down the line.

 

I'd love a Star Wars spinoff centered on any of the series interesting gangster groups

Set in a dreary city, lots of vibes, and lots of cantina type scenes and oddities

Or a spinoff of a Tattoine community fending off Tuscan Raiders

 

id love to be able to see more of the universe through a more day to day lens

no Jedi or Empire/Sith stuff

most of my favorite aspects of the OT stem from the backlore of the universe.

Why would that happen, especially given how much money the first few have made by sticking to formula?

 

Waiting for a spin-off that centers entirely around the Trade Federation.

An Obi Wan film starring Ewan McGregor would be nearly guaranteed to be my new favorite after Empire. Out of pre-existing characters/stories from the saga films, he's the only character besides Vader that could carry a film that'd intrinsically excite me regardless of filmmaker.

Though it's obviously worth repeating that an Obi Wan doesn't have to be helmed by a white dude, and that some prominent WOC characters would be great. The last couple films have done a pretty good job on screen, but I'd love to see the juggernaut that is Star Wars push representation further and further.

 

Would have loved his conflict with Maul to play out on the big screen but that would confuse the hell out of most Star Wars watchers that think he died in EP 1

 

I love Ewan and I got an Obi Wan action figure after TPM. Wonder if we will get some Liam Neeson force ghost action or voice/whispers ha
