People who work with Marvel have varied experiences, too. How much freedom vs compromise vs failure clearly depends on overlap of creative vision, which is nothing new or unfair when it comes to collaboration. Happens a lot in music. I've experienced something similar when planning church events.

I thought Han was really obvious, and the other two are both from the same movie

 

Yeah I knew Han was going to die as soon as Harrison Ford signed onto the film.

 

I was gonna say something last night but didn't wanna be a jerk, like, "ACTUALLY, I thought it was quite OBVIOUS Han would die," lol. But while we're dicsussing it, personally, I kinda expected it. It's the Star Wars way to open a trilogy with a mentor's death in the third act, Ford wanted Han to die years ago, and Luke wasn't really an active presence to be that death. Plus, I thought the film kinda set up him dying when he was saying goodbye to Leia.

But, I guess that was all subtext-y enough for not everyone to come to the same conclusion, so oh well.

 

I remember thinking before the movie that Han, Leia, and Chewbacca were all fair game.

 

I wonder what Chewbacca does now that no one speaks wookie

 

I thought Rey understands him

 

I hope he kills Kylo Ren and then retires on Endor. I mean, if I were Chewbacca, I'd make it my mission in life. Think of the motivation.
