I've downloaded them, but I haven't had a chance to watch them yet sadly.

dang, i was hoping for one this summer. been rewatching everything recently and delving into the universe deeper than i ever have before. want to scratch that itch sooner rather than later.

 

haha agreed, i'd love to be wrong! but i'm assuming at this point we aren't going to get quite the massive roll-out for TLJ as we did for TFA. By this point we had like 3 trailers for TFA with another to debut in the fall.

 

yeah, but i guess TFA had to prove it wasnt going to be like the prequels, so it needed the hype so people wouldnt be hesitant about the movie. the hype train can barely get any higher, and it honestly might do better the less footage you put out there.

 

I think to wash away the negativity surrounding the Han Solo movie, they will drop one sooner than they probably planned. Sort of like when the JL trailer got dropped so early to try and change the perception of DC after BvS.

 

If they announce an Obiwan movie with Ewan, I think that would wipe away the Solo drama.

 

Idk, I would guess that they're not as concerned with Han Solo movie drama as you might think. I don't think they'd change their roll-out plan because of that, but I'm all for seeing more footage from TLJ as soon as is humanly possible.

 

yeah i dont think the casual star wars fan cares at all about whats going on with the han solo movie honestly.

 

I'm guessing we get another trailer in August, then a final one in late October.

 

I'd be perfectly fine with as little promotional material as possible. I wanna go into the movie as fresh as possible, but I know when they release a new trailer I won't be able to resist. I'm weak!

 

I think I want one more good trailer, then I'm set, but I definitely get what you mean.

 

There's a rumor that we'll get a behind the scenes type of reel for D23 or Comic Con.

 

D23 is this weekend - that would be great. Is there a Comic Con coming up soon? I don't really follow that haha


Edit: looking at the D23 Fri-Sun schedule, there doesn’t really look to be anywhere where this would really fit in, nothing SW specific or any panel discussions about it.

 

I want to say Comic Con is the weekend following D23.

 

There's supposed to be a Star Wars live action panel and Rian Johnson will be in attendance. There's rumor of a behind the scenes sizzle real.
