Clone Wars might seem daunting because there's so many but you can really skip 50% of the episodes without really missing anything in terms of plot. I just rolled through it skipping a lot of the episodes that focus on JarJar or Padme etc. I was really just in it for Darth Maul and the Jedi stuff. Really enjoyed it but definitely prefer Rebels.

Second the recommendations to watch Clone Wars chronologically. I prefer Rebels over Clone Wars, but it's more satisfying to meet the characters in CW and see them again in Rebels. Both shows are great.

I got an Ahsoka tattoo at Celebration. She is the best. Definitely one of my favorites in cannon. She's at Luke level for me.

I got one of the posters! Such a great poster, it's going right next to my Empire Strikes Back theater display from 1997.

As a random side note, not sure which of the Star Wars threads this is most appropriate in, but I watched Hayden Christiansen's screen test for Anakin and it's amazing how different it is from his performance in the movies. The difference being in the screen test he was actually really good and charming instead of creepy and made me buy his character. Just sad that George's bad directing/script inhibited him so badly that now everyone thinks he's a terrible actor.

Where'd you watch the screen test? I did a quick youtube search and couldn't find anything.

Ok so I didn't watch the whole screen test but there are snippets of it in this video.

  21. that and acting in front a green screen must have been very frustrating for him and most of the prequels actors. Portman isn't that good in them either, and I love her in most of her roles

The only actors who gave a performance worth anything in the prequels are McGregor and McDiarmid. McDiarmid is only great because of how he chews the scenery in Revenge of the Sith. As for McGregor, he's pretty much the perfect incarnation of young Alec Guinness, but even he gets hobbled by some really dumb script-, directing-, and green screen-related issues.

With regard to Christensen, it's like Mr. Plinkett said: "He did the best with what he was given. He's not a bad actor kids, leave him alone."

Reaction video to Anakin becoming Darth Vader:

Refreshing to see strong emotions towards prequels moments too. Most people know of Empire's "I am your father" line now anyway as it's engrained in pop culture. That's still a fun scene for Luke's reaction anyway. Hopefully TLJ has some big shocker (that isn't ruined by social media).

Personally, I still vouch newcomers in watching the films in chronological episode order. Especially now that we have the sequels (and anthologies).

Yea.... This doesn't really make sense. This person somehow knows who Darth Vader is but doesn't know Vader is Luke's father, Anakin?

Watching chronologically, Anakin's official turn could be a surprise. But reacting to the name Darth Vader? At that point it has zero context and therefore zero surprise factor.

she is reacting before the name reveal, but she has a huge reaction to the name... Which makes no sense. Unless she saw 4 and then went back to the prequels? That's the only way she could know how bad Vader is and not know he was Anakin.

    This is really really weird.
