Just noticed that they bring back the emperors music from the end of jedi when hes shocking luke when snoke is torturing rey. Love that.

 

“Oh they hate that ship!” Still one of my favorite lines haha

 

That part where Rey saves Rose/"Blow that ship OUT OF THE SKY" and how the score goes into my favorite movement during that whole sequence is so perfect.

 

A bonus feature is watching the entire snoke scenes raw footage with andy serkis in the motion suit and it is awesome to see how he acts it in person

 

“The Director And The Jedi” is the best BTS doc I have ever, ever seen. Wow.

 

Convinced me to watch this tonight. I heard it was worth the price by itself.

 

The documentary is so charming. The amount of emotion Daisy put into the throne room scene is so impressive and it (obviously) shows onscreen.

 

Rewatched this tonight and you're totally right. It's like two 5 minute sections.

 

The doc is very cool so far.

Has anybody listened to the John Williams solo version? Or watched the deleted scenes?

 

Theres only 1 or 2 deleted scenes i liked, very excited to watch the doc tonight.

 

Damn. considering theres 20 minutes thats dissapointing.

 

There are a bunch that are 2-3mins each, and one long one thats just an extended scene. The lengthy ones are the one among my favorites, but theres a short finn/bb8 one that made me cackle

 

I'm pumped to get this for the doc and the John Williams solo cut. such a cool idea! it'll be rad to watch it focusing only on music and visuals

 

I probably won't watch the entire 2.5 hour movie with just the music but there certainly are a bunch of sequences I want to watch for just music. Probably the entire Crait sequence and opening battle.

 

For a Star Wars movie I didn't absolutely love, I don't think I've ever been more excited for a home release. You can tell Rian wanted this thing loaded with features, and I really appreciate that.

I kind of wanted to hold off on watching this again for a while, just so I could see how it plays for me after a long break. But that John Williams cut sounds awesome. Also really want to check out that behind the scenes doc.

 

is this available on xfinity now? I may be cancelling my cable though so idk if I should get it that way.
