The Brody South Dakotee CBBTV ep is one of my favorites so I recognized her from that when they announced the cast

All you have to know is the audience's reaction to the great Luke Skywalker's character assassination makes them either Rey or Ren.

did anyone even make a compelling argument that it was a "flop". it was a nonsense discussion to begin with. idk why that article exists.

Didn't this break records for opening day or something? Yeah I don't understand the argument either. Backlash against the quality of the film and how much money it made are completely different.

There are definitely articles trying to argue that it’s a flop, though I wouldn’t call them “compelling”. At least one of them was posted further back in the thread.

  13. Yep. Definitely quite a few people have been pushing that narrative online. It's hilariously stupid.

so i didnt know there were deleted scenes for the prequels, frankly i never gave them much though, but ive been watching some and WOW were they actually really really good. i like the prequels more than most anyways but these scenes, especially the AOTC scenes, add a lot more humanity and charm to some otherwise dull moments. I really loved seeing Padmes home and her family and Anakin awkwardly trying to interact with them while Padme tries to downplay the severity of the political situation and why she needs a Jedi bodyguard.

random thought but wanted to share. carry on

We reach for the longest shadow

I haven't seen a single star wars deleted scene. I need to fix that.

theres quite a few neat little scenes that wouldve worked in the prequels. we get to see Padmes family, shes has like 3 sisters a mom and dad, her dad and anakin spend a little time talking and her father expresses his concerns about her failed assassination attempts but anakin assures him he wont let anything happen to her. theres a really charming scene from episode 3s opening where anakin and obi wan are surrounded by droids. they keep touching their faces in odd ways as some sort of signal for how to get out of the situation, they both agree to use their lightsabers to quickly cut a hole out underneath them. theres also a scene where bail organa, mon mothma, and a few other senators are discussing what basically amounts to the early declaration of the rebellion.

only real bummer is some of them have clearly unfinished effects so they look kinda rough

I'm going to start saying "<insert job/industry> 101!" to criticize everything I know nothing about actually doing from now on.

Movie was better the second time. I teared up a bit when Rose’s sister died because now her importance was known
