They've already taken stuff from the EU and used it in new canon stuff so it's not that far-fetched.

 

I wouldn't know if they've done that. That sounds extremely stupid on paper.

 

They brought back Thrawn as the main antagonist for season 3 of Rebels. Id say that's the biggest pick so far.

 

There's a new Thrawn book coming out, presumably that will be canon. No idea if it also makes the original novels canon, I haven't read them

Buuuuut I forgot about Onimi. Large chunks of Life Debt were clearly inspired by other Legends material. I wouldn't be surprised if at least the unknown regions referenced in the books leads to something like the Vong.

 

Didn't even know she was in it. Awesome.

in other words, methinks they're gonna make her a larger part of Episode 9 to make up for no carrie fisher/take over plot planned for Leia

 

Anyone know or think we'll get a trailer soon? They usually start about 6/7 months out promoting right?

Also, I really wish that Rebel's would be put on Netflix to stream. I mean it is owned by Disney and they have Clone Wars and other stuff up on there. I always read the reviews on IGN and it's consistently getting 8's or above each episode. I'm missing out!!!!

 

Celebration Day is in 3 weeks so probably something then

 

I haven't been too excited for this movie for some reason but then it all just sank in that Laura Dern and Benecio del Toro are in a new Star Wars movie directed by Rian Johnson and that's actually like my dream come true.

 

Yea, I'm not sure why it's not on Netflix. But I strongly urge you to watch it. This last episode was brilliant and has one of my very favorite Star Wars moments.

 

Not sure how familiar Americans are with Gary Barlow from Take That but he's got a cameo in the film...!

Watched Force Awakens today for the first time since Carrie Fisher's passing and even though I've seen it so many times, her first scene really hit me hard and made me tear up remembering she's gone. Last Jedi is gonna wreck me when she comes on screen and during the tribute card they have to have.

 

Very likely only one more week until we get a trailer. Also, I'm cool with these getting released in December, but damn, remember when this was going to come out in May? I kind of want that now haha.

 

Would've been cool to get it earlier but Disney must've seen the foolishness in cannibalizing itself by releasing this and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (aka Mar(vel) Wars) in the same month.

 

Oh yea, it makes complete sense. I'm just getting a little antsy haha.

 

I hope they're streaming the Last Jedi panel. I remember watching the Force Awakens trailer at work while they were streaming it and my coworkers looking concerned as I wiped tears from my eyes.

 

I'm guessing the Last Jedi, Rebels, and Carrie Fisher panels are definitely going to be streamed.

 

I'll never forget welling up the first time I heard "Chewie, we're home."

 

So can we start a new thread for Celebration? I feel like the 40th Anniversary panel on Thursday and TLJ on Friday make it deserve it's own. Lucasfilm has been emphasizing surprises at the 40th panel, and TLJ will most definitely reveal the first teaser. Let alone Video Games and Rebels on Saturday.
