I can't even believe how much I love this movie. I got a moviepass and I live across the street from a theater. I'll be seeing this as many times as I can. I'll probably have like 15 viewings in this month lol. I love it so much. I'm tearing up just thinking about it right now. The fact that there's a storyline being led by a black man and an Asian woman and another of the leads is a Latino man in a Star Wars movie makes me so proud of the franchise. There had to be more women in this movie than any other Star Wars movie. I remember being disappointed about how few of the rebellion pilots in Rogue One were women. Representation is so important and these films are nailing it.

 

My friends that I went with were all crying in joy at certain parts. Everyone I went with (6 people so far) loved it. The Battlestar Galactica parallels are so prevalent.

 

I really don't believe JJ would step on Rian like that.

I swear something broke the world in 2016 and we are just all fucked and living in some weird shit. I don’t know. It’s like a weird half world of not real and very strange hot takes being all that survived.

 

Huh, I really enjoyed this. I don’t really see how this is some huge departure, Johnson did a solid job. Some of the humor and one liners seemed out of place for Star Wars but I thought the same about The Force Awakens. Expecting that type of humor going in this time made it a lot less jarring. The fight scenes were excellent and I loved the part where it went silent for a moment. Will definitely see this again.

 

Dude SAME. Didnt notice first time but second time through it hit me hard. You get yet another one of these.
