The sound design in this was incredible. I love the way the Force Skype calls were designed with it sounding like they were in a vacuum. So good. It will definitely win that award.

The thing that makes it confusing and open to interpretation to me was Snoke reading or not reading Kylo turn the lightsaber or whatever but its Kylo turning the other lightsaber. So its like hes either reading his mind shittily or its hes just saying that hes reading his mind and believes Kylo is 100% his pawn. But didnt he doubt Kylo pretty extensively in the same throne room scene prior?

Rian and Rian alone came up with porgs.

  4. How are people not understanding the throne room scene? I don’t understand how this wasn’t crystal clear what happened. I am shocked at reading some of this...

I am all for BB-8 doing absolutely anything he wants. I love that droid.

I mean, cmon man. No one used Force Lightning in ROTJ, do you hate that because it wasn't shown from the very beginning? Also, there are examples of all new uses of the Force in the Expanded Universe books which I'm sure Rian has dabbled in.

I'm not arguing on whether we thought it worked in the film or not. All I said was there was a difference between Snoke and Palpatine and I think it's fair to separate them as different situations. Snoke is putting in a lot of effort to read Kylo's mind when Palpatine wasn't trying to read Vader's. I don't see how that's up for debate. And the point about holding Rey in place I also think it's fair to say Snoke was dragging Rey about with no effort at all, he literally just pointed his finger and she flew across the room. But like I said, I was only arguing the fact Snoke and Palpatine were different situations.

    Favorite lines?

First that comes to mind for me is, "Oh they hate that ship."

They are fairly similar. Of course there are differences. But Both were at their peak arrogance and were confident that things were going exactly as they had planned. Both were wrong and both paid the price for it.

Here’s the interview where he states it’s not 100% concrete. JJ could change it if he interprets it differently. He doesn’t know what will end up in episode IX.

Yeah that’s basically what he said. He thinks Ben was being honest but also knows JJ could interpret it differently and go another route if he wants.

My one friends only theory prior to seeing the movie was that Han Solo was still alive. Lol wtf

That's a fair point and I agree with you in that sense. I think the thing with Palpatine though was the point that Vader decided. While conflict may have crept in for a while, the point Vader properly turned was watching Palpatine attempting to kill Luke and that was when he did something about it while Palpatine was busy focusing on Luke. Whereas Snoke was actively reading Kylo while it was happening. But as far as arguing over it goes I'm not really that bothered.

Man I loved this. Honestly really surprised about the complaints now. Though I haven’t read the spoilertagged posts. Time to do some reading.

The only thing I didn’t like was Phasma being a COMPLETE waste!!!!! I thought for sure they had something planned for her or redeem her lackluster development from TFA. Nope.

I enjoyed some of the scenes in this, but disliked the story greatly. And the further I am away from it, the more I feel that way. With that said, I need to see it again.
