Any love for Podracer on N64?

Oh yeah and that pod racing game in the arcades

 

Episode I on PS1 was impossible. I could never get past the Naboo level when you had to keep Padme safe. The AI for her was terrible.

 

One of my first video games that I hyped up and bought day one.

Terrible.

 

There is a barcade in Chapel Hill that still has it. I would lie if I said I didn’t play it every time I enter the barcade.

 

Podracing under the influence sounds amazing

 

The OT arcade game was great! It had a death star run, then going through the Hoth base, a boba fett fight, Endor, and Vader fight. Loved it.

Also the new battle pod is fun. Though I haven’t played it since they updated it with TFA stuff.

 

Also, I never cared much for the pod racing stuff. In general, I find racing games
Kind of boring and uninteresting. Just never been my thing.

 

Mario kart and diddy Kong racing have been the only exceptions for me.

Podracing and Rogue Squadron on the 64 were some of my fav games for the system. There was one level on podracing that I could never beat no matter how many times I tried.

And yeah that arcade SW game is awesome! I play it every single time my wife and I go to the bar-cade

 

I think that might be one of my most played games as a kid. I loved finding all the hidden items, I killed everyone with my lightsabor that I could, and I distinctly recall hating the duel of the fates part and how difficult it was jumping around to get back into the fight with Obi-Wan. As a kid I was thinking "ALL HE DID WAS ONE BIG JUMP BACK UP WHAT IS THIS?"

Yup! Terrible graphics, but it was a lot of fun.

 

Dark Forces was life-changing. What a great game for it's time. That whole dark forces/jedi knight series is outstanding.

For episode 1, I think Jedi Power Battles was more fun than the Episode 1 game.

Episode 3 was pretty fun for ps2.

 

I sucked at EP 3 and gave up relatively early.

 

I played that game for years haha. It was rudimentary, but still a blast.

 

Jedi Power battles was pretty fun. The Episode 1 game was TERRIBLE but I still played the whole thing. I remember one section where you had to cross over some huge fans and if you fell in they would chop your character to pieces. Surprisingly grim for a Star Wars game.

 

Yea, ROTS for PS2 was great.

 

My favorite was Jedi Outcast where there was a cheat code where you could (bloodlessly) dismember Stormtroopers. It felt so taboo when I was 10 haha.

 

Did you ever play online?

 

KOTOR is a tops Star Wars game for me. Dug Jedi Power Battles and Bounty Hunter a lot back in the day as well.

Bounty Hunter had issues but I still played it a ton

 

Shadows of the Empire ruled so hard. Dash Rendar was an awesome character and was coincidentally my favorite Star Wars action figure. I even had his ship, The Outrider
