“For now, Johnson is still in Star Wars withdrawal. “I’m just randomly wandering around the Walt Disney studios making pew-pew sounds, trying to direct people and nobody listens to me anymore,” he jokes. “I’m turning into a Force ghost. It’s a strange feeling.”

    Amazing haha

Yeah but I'm betting if it was just adults there, the Kylo and Fett waits would be swapped. Though I'm pretty biased as you can tell by the shirt I'm wearing. Not that matters, just a little observation I had.

If anyone is wondering, the Star Wars Land is coming along nicely. It's a sprawling area with absolutely giant structures being erected now

I SO wish Rian had a hand in Ep IX. He seems to have the perfect enthusiasm for this universe (not that JJ didn't, but Rian also has a certain "auteur-ness" about him). A Star Wars movie written by Rian but directed by JJ could've been something wonderful I think.

I love how on the finale to force awakens they tie together the force theme and Rey's theme.

John Boyega commented how he's looking forward to seeing Kelly Marie Tran in future trailers. Possibly an international trailer as those seem to show a lot more?

The dialogue in his videos make me cringe, but I can't help but check them out when I come across them ha.

It’s all about Star Wars Explained as far as Star Wars YouTube channels go.

His voice used to make me cringe but then I realized he really is a Star Wars scholar, full of knowledge. After the movie I’ll be watching hundreds of these videos but I need to steer clear until then haha

Okay guys. I need help. I saw the first trailer but I decided to listen to Mark and Rian and not watch the trailer and go in fresh but I'm struggling. I already know some of the bigger things because i made the mistake of looking at comments and have seen images because YouTube thumbnails.

What do you think? Is there major plot points/locations in there? (which I really don't want) Is there stuff in there you personally wish you wouldn't have seen?

What did you find out? Once I know that, we could tell you if there is anything bigger yet you haven’t learned.

I don't think the trailer gave much of anything away except some battle scenes which you can likely put in order pretty easily.

There is 1 specific shot the trailer that I think is spoilery with regards to the 3rd act of the movie and I wish I hadn’t seen. The rest of it nbd.

    snoke torturing Rey

well i read old posts and see the whole "should I watch?" topic was already talked about at length so sorry about that. I know of a possible Kylo/Rey team up (wish i didn't know that haha) , saw images of Snoke and the Porg, Snoke is with rey and saw the image of rey getting tortured and screaming, Finn will face Phasma, Poe with a lightsaber, and rey being too powerful
ooo that may be enough to keep me away. I basically don't want the trailer to give me the ability to put anything in order while I'm watching the movie.

Edit: I already know a lot which is why i wanted to cave, but i think ill endure. if nothing else id rather see all these things i know for the first time when watching the entire movie.

I think one of the greatest takeaways so far from all of this is Rian Johnson is a genuinely awesome person.

since i haven't been on the site in a long ass time ill give my two cents on Kylo although I've seen this mentioned before and the trailer supposedly confirms this Kylo always reminded me of Zuko from TLA or even Vegeta from DBZ. Aside form the obvious facial scars of Kylo and Zuko they seem like bad-asses with cool looks but are really insecure temperamental brats who are or want to be the heir to some evil. They struggle with their own worthiness and have to prove to himself and others of their power. They struggle to overcome the pure hearted-naturally gifted prodigies of Rey, Aang, Goku. They decide to team up with them instead to take down some overwhelming power.

Also I like to think of Luke as Iroh. Uncle who really taught him everything. Just as Zuko betrayed Iroh, Ren betrayed Luke. Just as Iroh became a member of the white lotus which transcended any nation (or force religion), I think Luke will create an order (not the grey Jedi) but something like that making him the last jedi. Idk maybe a stretch but in the end I do think Kylo will redeem himself

I've made the same character comparison since TFA came out haha... will be interesting to see how far the parallels go.

Definitely. Do you think Kylo will redeem himself by the end then? Im not watching the trailer so i dont know the dynamic of the team up situation but I had a feeling Kylo would somehow end up face to face with Leia and shed apologize to him (for what happened in Bloodline) and hed apologize for Han and shed give him an aawesome speech to convert him back (which would be a pretty awesome character moment for her to go off on). Although I thought that would happen in episode 9 so after Carrie died I figured that went out the door.
